Modern Family is yet to have one. They considered one a couple of years back and talk of one has kinda resurfaced in the last few weeks cause they just had some milestone episode. That 70s Show didn't have a spinoff right? Was that 80s show in any way connected to it? I believe the main character was cousins with Eric Foreman.

It may have been word of god that said that. I checked Wiki and IMDB and neither had any info on them being cousins. IMDB did say that Brittany Daniels character is the same on both shows (she was Erics cousin on an ep of 70s) but that is BS unless the character changed her name.

Most shows that are big hits get spinoffs, some of which do well, many of which die off. All in the Family had a ton of spinoffs, for instance, with Archie's Place, The Jeffersons, Gloria, and then, there was Maude. Some of them outlive their parent show, like Family Matters eclipsing Perfect Strangers. I imagine this may be a less common occurrence with UK television, though I know it certainly happens from time to time. (Man About the House had Robin's Nest. In the US, this was adapted to Three's Company, which got Three's A Crowd/Three's Company, Too, which was cancelled in favor of picking up Diff'rent Strokes, which had been cancelled by a rival network) It got me thinking, what are some successful shows that haven't seen spinoffs occur? The Simpsons is probably one of the bigger examples, given its lifespan, success, and pop culture presence. I don't count The Critic or other shows that have had crossover episodes, as they were not spinoffs initially. That's arguably a shared universe, sure, but it's different from something like Buffy to Angel, etc. Some shows like Married with Children had backdoor pilots, which is to say, episodes that heavily featured characters who were intended to get their own show, but it didn't follow through. If you want to count filmed pilots, be my guest, but if all it got was the backdoor pilot in the form of an episode of the parent show, and not even a dedicated pilot, I don't think that really ought to count. Ironically, The Simpsons spoofed spinoffs with the hilarious "Simpson Spinoff Showcase" episode. The even more ironic part was that The Simpsons almost got a spinoff show early in it's life with Krusty moving out to LA to become a talk show host. Oh, did I mention it would involve a running gag where Krusty's mansion would be on stilts and that the stilts would constantly be gnawed at by beavers? Oh, did I mention Dan Castellaneta would reprise his role as Krusty? Oh, did I mention it'd be live action? I probably should have led with that.

Phil Hartman also wanted to a live action Troy McClure movie. Never got passed idea, but the Simpsons people sounded on board.

^^^ What about How I Met Your Mother? It almost got a spinoff, but it didn't happen! Apparently, the test audiences HATED Greta Gerwig, so she was just like "Fine, let me just go make a movie with a 100% RT score then"

(These are all off the top of my head, so they might not count)
- Is King of Queens confirmed to be a spinoff of Everybody Loves Raymond? If not, both shows can be added to the list.
- West Wing
- The Wire
- Prison Break
- King of the Hill
- The O.C.

I was gonna say Power Rangers, but they did have a spinoff in the form of Masked Rider (the failed Americanization of Kamen Rider). Said show ended up pretty much ignoring the existence of the Power Rangers anyway after the initial crossover from MMPR S3. There was almost a Bulk and Skull spinoff. There was a VHS called "The Misadventures of Bulk and Skull" in which the duo goes over the various interactions they've had with the Rangers. This sold well enough that Fox ordered a pilot for The Bulk and Skull show. The premise had Bulk and Skull end up inheriting a mansion. They decide to convert the mansion into a hotel. Turns out the mansion is haunted. Fox passed in the pilot. The mansion concept and monsters would be reused for Big Bad Beetleborgs. This is why Bulk and Skull were turned into Chimps during Turbo. As the actors took time off the show to film the pilot.

Did Roseanne ever have one? Big Bang Theory Does Unhappily Ever After count as some sort of Married...With Children spinoff without any of the original characters appearing?

Hawaii Five-O (the original series) never had one. For that matter, the modern Hawaii Five-O hasn't had a spinoff, though they did have a crossover with the MacGyver reboot.
