At the time I thought it was funny, still do. Carey is too likeable for it to have not worked. If today though James Corden or someone appeared in the matchI'd be pissed. Same when they put the announcers in.

I didn't mind, I just thought the 7465874781 plugs for his comedy show the following weekend on PPV were annoying.

It was a decent idea for a Rumble cameo when both Drew Carey and the WWF were both doing really well at the time. But, in no way did that warrant a Hall of Fame induction, even with the reduced standards for the celebrity wing.

I thought it was hilarious. It's not like D'Lo or Chaz would contribute anything of value. Drew wasn't in for long, had some fun spots and it was entertaining. He could have stolen a LOT more focus than he did.

At that time, Drew Carey Show and Whose Line were two of my favorite shows, so I quite liked it.

I'm on the fence. Part of me thought it was a bit amusing, and a clever way to use a celebrity with how he was "eliminated", The other part of me thought it was dumb as hell and groaned.

It was something different and fun for the time.
But certainly wasn't Hall of Fame worthy.

Something I've always wondered about that: Was Drew supposed to push the Hardy's off the top rope and eliminate them, but missed his cue or something? The whole process of Jeff knocking down Matt and then just kind of falling down after him while Drew just stood there watching seemed really awkward. Plus, the whole bit where he called the Hardy's back to save him from Kane would have been an even better moment if he had just finished eliminating them himself.

Him offering Kane money was funny.

At the time, I thought it was fun. And it was a fun Mr McMahon moment for him to take a celebrity that visited his show and put him in the Royal Rumble in hopes someone would beat him up.

In an alternate history WWF Champion Drew Carey led the fight against the Alliance.

I was never a big fan of his, but his appearance really didn't bother me. He won me over with the interaction in the ring with Kane. That was funny.

Harmless comedy spot in the Rumble.
Underrated moment from that of his is after he eliminates himself, as he's leaving, he yells words of encouragement to Raven...after Raven is thrown across the ring by Kane.

It's no better or worse than any of the other legend cameos that have happened in the Rumble

For some reason, this always makes me laugh when I watch the show back.
