Which performer did you enjoy more? And who did you think had a better rise to the top? I always enjoyed Eddie more. He was what got me into wrestling. Nothing can beat his lie, cheat, and steal persona as well as his road to the top

Bryans great but Eddie was just the best, incredible in ring and brilliantly entertaining no matter what he did in promos, skits etc. Bryan might edge it as a wrestler but Eddie was pure joy all round.

Eddie, and it's not even close. Nothing against Bryan, but whereas I feel like I've "seen enough" when it comes to Bryan in the ring, I also felt like Eddie had so much more left to do and to give both in and out of the ring when he passed.

Honestly I've never entirely understood the love for Eddie. Was always a fan but I never saw him as a top guy or an all-time great star, more just a really good utility player.

Eddie’s run in the main event was more memorable, and more of Eddie’s big moments and great matches happened on a national stage, so I go with him.

He was really great for what he was, an upper mid card lower level main event guy. To me he was never a top level star though.

Daniel Bryan. I was never really a fan of Eddie. I didn't hate him and I know the guy was talented. I just never really was a fan.

I voted Eddie, but to me, Bryan is more consistent and had higher heights. Eddie wins out on versatility for me, though, and character work.
Still, it's close for me, and if you asked me a month ago, or a month from now, maybe I'd vote differently. They're both really damn good.
I'd 100 percent rather spend time around Bryan as a person, though. Eddie was a mean drunk, and even outside of that, he had an unfortunate capacity for petty cruelty sometimes. Bryan's worst crime is passion that veers into arrogance from time to time, it seems like.

I'd go with Eddie mainly for the product being better during Eddie's tenure (and no, I'm not holding that against Bryan. I just didn't find his run as enjoyable to watch, aside from all the Miz stuff, due to the product in general not holding up around it).
Bryan is a better avatar/representative for the current fanbase makeup than Eddie was in his time, but I don't put much bearing on that.

Close call, since I'm a fan of both, but I have to say Eddie. Whether it was the build-up to the WWE title win in 2004, or driving JBL around in his limo, I was entertained throughout.
Bryan turning against Bray Wyatt after the Tag Team Cage match with the Usos and winning the title at Wrestlemania 30 were also some of my favorite moments, though. The Team Hell No skits were hilarious.

I voted Daniel Bryan just to keep the poll even.
Both are at the peak of Mount Awesome
Unfortunately I don't think this match ever happened during his brief stint on the indies before his WWE return. (Around the time he wrestled CM Punk and Rey Mysterio in IWA)

Man that is tough. I'll say Eddy right now because he was more of the complete package. He could play a character and cut promos better than Bryan can, though I doubt he was scripted as much as Bryan is.

Depends on your style preference. Personally I like Bryan's style better, but I love them both.

This thread is just making me think about what a match between the two at their respective heights would've been like. And now I'm just sad that it can never happen.
And I'm probably just a slightly bigger Bryan fan, but it's really close.

I like Bryan but Eddie is probably my favourite of all time so it's an easy choice for me.
