That "I'm so done with this shit" side eye is everything. She saw this thread and though “dumpster fire” was a swipe at her and her husband’s house. Let’s hope Sammy The Squirrel doesn’t see it...he’s crazy. He will cut a bitch.

The show was terrible because Sheamus wasn't allowed to wrestle.

I think my thing is that the whole show felt like nothing on the whole.
It didn’t really build the Rumble more, the nostalgia acts didn’t even do much and nothing moved forward to intice people to keep watching.

If you were a new or lapsed fan, what incentive would you have to keep watching?
The rumble? Besides that slogfest women’s match that tried to build the women’s, nothing was built up for the men’s.
The nostalgia acts? Besides Austin, everybody was “ladies and gentleman, legends for 30 seconds! ...cool now back to the same boring Raw as always!” They flew two pregnant ladies out to stand there for 30 seconds, the f***.
I liked Raw 1000 waaaay more than this. It had not only current angles (Bryan/AJ wedding, etc.), but legends interacting with the current roster in a meaningful way.

I always compare these special episodes to the equivalent of clip shows ( a main narrative that lends to callbacks) so I wasn't disappointed too much. I do wish they would've got more out of this simulcast they were aiming for

It’s sort of fascinating that, outside of the post ‘Mania shows, the special editions of Raw have never been designed to introduce the audience coming in to what the show is now nor does it try to keep the viewer watching the next week or the next PPV. Like, you’d think with how much the audience has dipped in the last while outside of these specials, that’d be your main objective.

Anytime RAW has a "Special" episode it usually sucks(Slammies, 1000th Raw, 15 Year Anniversary). This Raw was just par for the course. The RAW 10th Anniversary Episode was better than this one.....And that had absolutely NO Wrestling Matches AT ALL....They at least used that show to push storylines here and there since they were on the road to The Royal Rumble but in comparison, that RAW was done pretty damn well for being an Awards show held at WWE New York in Times Square.

The show was terrible because Sheamus wasn't allowed to wrestle. I'm unsure if you're joking or not, so apologies if you are, but given his neck issues, I'm comfortable with him never wrestling again and just being Cesaro's cornerman.

Creative didn't know if they wanted it to be a nostalgia episode or if they wanted to actually use the show to forward "storylines" (storylines in quotes because are there really any? LOL)

I think this show is going to be their biggest audience of the year. Bigger than post mania. You would think they'd set SOMETHING up! Nothing. Absolutely nothing. The only thing I've learned from the show last night is that WWE backstage area doors are always shut and shut immediately after someone opens it.

I wouldn’t be shocked if it was their biggest audience in the last 5 years but that’s just me throwing speculation out there. They did have Asuka look dominant before the women’s Rumble which is a positive but you’re right, nothing was really put together leading to the Rumble or even ‘Mania. And even then, the Asuka thing felt like the bare minimum because of course you should do segments like that but it was the only one.

This was the first RAW I've watched live in a while. I've certainly caught bits and pieces here and there, but for the most part I've just been watching the PPVs and using the board here and youtube to stay on top of things in the space between. And it was just ... not very good.
I'm not going to bring out terms like 'soul crushing' or suggest that this was a 1/10 show or anything; really this was just a totally ordinary sub-par Raw packed with self-indulgent segments that didn't go anywhere and returns that were nostalgia for nostalgia's sake without any effort to link them to today's product or help us appreciate the part these individuals played in shaping Raw and WWE. I would argue that once we got beyond the opening segment (and even that felt like they could've done a lot more with it) the best things on the show could have been on any episode of Raw - the Roman/Miz match and the segment between Cena and Elias ... and that had an air of "This is really what you're doing with John Cena on your big anniversary show?"
I appreciate ideas like the DX/Balor Club segment (although personally I'm so numb to DX returns by now that it did nothing for me), getting Taker back in the Manhatten Center (to cut an absolutely nothing promo) and even some of the names we got back (Eric Bischoff of all people made my night), but strip away the nostalgia segments and you've got an utterly ordinary Raw, and personally I felt like the vast majority of the nostalgia segments either didn't land or overstayed their welcome. Something like the over-indulgent DX reunion -> tag squash -> brief and utterly generic big man brawl was just a brutal way to close things out.

I think it was a fun show.... I generally never expect too much continuity/progression from the nostalgic shows so that didn't bother me. I enjoyed the Miz getting his belt back, Elias standing tall over Cena was a big deal as well.

One would assume with the Network at their disposal and something they want to sell and returning eyes on the product, you’d toss in some classic moments, all available on the WWE Network. Nope. They showed screenshots. Like it was f***ing 1998.

There was no Dean, that's my only complaint with the show. Otherwise, I enjoyed it. Coach, Christian (and Seth looking like he was trying not to laugh at Jason), people power, and Braun.

The only really disappointing thing for me is that the Manhatan Center could, and should have been used more than it was.

I said this lastnight but to me this show was the definitive look at WWE being a quantity over quality product.

I'm just kinda sorry that I tend to comeback here more often then not when I've been going that was a fun show. Let me see what the FAN forums thought. *looks* Oh I see. Welp not going to bother sharing my thoughts then. See ya next time. I'm going to leave for bed by reiterating This raw was not a dumpsterfire and I really think if you guys care about getting people to join up and post then that kind of toxic hyperbole is not what they shoukd see when they first wander over. Unless this is just a forum to complain about the product which as of late it really has become that. Good night. It's not even so much the base negativity. Where it gets toxic is the pre-emptive "AND NONE OF Y'ALL CAN EVEN DARE DEFEND THIS SHIT, AND IF YOU DO, IT'LL BE CONSIDERED A PERSONAL ATTACK!" stuff. You summed it up. I actually like last night's episode, first I've sat down to watch in a month or so. Haven't been here in a while either, but coming back was my fault haha

For myself, I thought the segments at the Barclays Center were pretty good, the crowd was into the Miz vs. Reigns bout and they loved the Cena/Elias interaction, not that far from any other Raw that's been out so far. It's the people in Manhattan that got shafted and feeling fortunate that I did not go to the Manhattan Center last night.
