Profiteroles would be my number one choice. Oh my goodness... I class them as a snack, not dessert, but they are DELISH. The best I've ever found are an 8 hour round bus trip from where I live and no joke, I take that trip several times a year just to get those profiteroles.

I have only ever seen it available in restaurants as a dessert.

I'm in Australia, they're sold here in bakeries along with donuts, biscuits (cookies), and things like that.

Cheesecake, maybe? Thinking about it, I guess I'm not much of a dessert guy. Like, I eat a good, sizable meal. Maybe some seconds. At that point, my gut would be full, and if not I'd want to have more of what I just ate. Sweets are for snacks, once in a while, in the end. Like, if the meal I had wasn't enough, I'd look for a salty snack first before sweets as a dessert.
That said, this Chinese restaurant I order take out once in a while has a nice almond lychee jelly, which is nice.
