Could you ever see Russo back in the WWE fold?

Inspired by the appearance of Bischoff on RAW. In all honestly I am kind of amazed it hasn’t happened yet. Certainly I don’t want Russo as an on-air authority figure, and I’m pretty sure the earth would crack open and swallow me if he ever got a writing position again. But in terms fo content for the Network, I actually could see Russo having value. He certainly would have as much commentary to offer on footage from the Attitude Era and late WCW, and given the number of stars in WWE now who where in TNA with him there could easily be plenty of sit down segments to make. Just imagine a table for 3 of Vince, Heyman, and Russo and you would have a Network must see for sure. But then again, given Russo’s own big mouth on social media, its also no surprise he hasn’t been brought back in.

Beyond token interviews for documentaries I think far too many people have soured on Russo as a person to keep him on in any consistent capacity. Russo on social media alone's probably doomed any regular employment with any major company.

I actually like the tv character of a stuck up new Yorker and the guy genuinely pushes things in interesting directions. Plus he's old school a little so he keeps canon in storylines from way way back and finds something for everyone to do.

That being said, the man Vince Russo has probably burned all his bridges and shown a different side to himself that has destroyed his image. Plus he absolutely needs a filter, he cannot be a lone wolf. It would take more effort than he's shown to shed that racist/sexist image and I don't think WWE would think he's worth the trouble, unless it was to make him join the vkm kiss my ass club.
But if he did, they might induct him into the hall of fame, and I'm sure if he died, they'd mention him and do a tribute.

I love that Russo understands RAW and Smackdown are TV show's, but they aren't written like one.

I think a lot of the ideas he has/had/have wouldn't reach an audience the way it did in 1999.

It's not an insult to him, it's the same as trying to book 1989 in 1999. Poison wasn't going to get the same reaction as Limp Bizkit. Batman was out, Austin Powers was in.

If he came back and made sure the roster was booked, storylines were spread out, there was continuity, setups and payoffs, characters developed, etc., I'd be OK. Basically a co-writer to someone else, who can say maybe this match shouldn't be 30 minutes, let's instead make sure we get this guy on the show, and put the others in a few segments with this story.

When Russo returned in 02 and did that awful invasion pitch Stephanie actually got mad.
