My opinion of course but Thor Ragnarok was awesome.
Guardians 2 wasn't quite as good as Guardians 1 but Ego was a much better villain than Ronan.
Didn't see Spider-man yet.
Doctor Strange was ok but was really similar in story to Iron Man since they have similar main character was a douche and then learns not to be a douche origin... that said the movie story for the origin was leagues better than the comic one.

I'm confused. Didn't Disney buy them? Why are they still planning Marvel movies?

You know what, f*** it. Make every stupid movie you want. Make a f***ing Mojo movie. Are we talking a movie where Mojo is the star? Or a movie where a group of hapless heroes wind up in the Mojoverse? Because I'd totally watch the second one. Get Gilbert Gottfried to voice Mojo. Frank Castle will end up as a Herald of Galactus, flying around in a cosmic tank with the Power Cosmic. Castle already is a Herald of Galactus. And the Ghost Rider. AND the War Machine. Frank Castle is everything.

The deal won't be done for probably a couple years while they go through due diligence. Makes sense for FOX to get as much cash as they can in the interim.

You have to figure Disney has a significant interest in what they're doing, because Fox could further damage these brands in the public eye.

Hope they know that every intentionally bad movie they make before the merger winds up hurting them in the long run.

I agree with most of this. Thor Ragnarok's biggest flaw was that it felt like two movies jammed into one. After all the stuff on the junk planet it was like "Oh yeah, we have to go deal with your sister." What sets Strange apart from Iron Man was the implementation of the magic. It was pretty much Iron Man plus Batman Begins training, meets Inception's design, with a bit of Aladdin's Carpet thrown in. The finale with Dormammu was a very creative (though probably universe breaking) way of dealing with him too.

Frank Castle will end up as a Herald of Galactus, flying around in a cosmic tank with the Power Cosmic. DX would sue for stealing their gimmick.

For me... Didn't even consider watching Doctor Strange, thought about it with Black Panther but not actually seen it yet, felt like Homecoming was never going to end, I liked Guardians 2 more than the first one, and Thor I thought was plenty watchable while watching it but it really only because it was just me and my brother in the theater so we could talk throughout, and there's very little in it I actually look back on fondly. For the most part I just couldn't get past how it felt like two wholly unrelated movies smashed together and how absolutely nothing could be allowed to be serious for more than two seconds before they'd throw out a stupid joke. I can see where someone would like Ragnarok but for me it just didn't work.

Stan Lee's original pitch in the 70s had a blaxploitation vibe and a pimp character called Sweet Daddy Wisdom who would refer to Surfer as honky. Woulda been awful And awesome. I actually would have went out and watched this

Surprised at posts claiming recent Marvel movies were bad. I actually kind of fell off of my comic book movie fandom for awhile, but I recently wa sable to sit down and watch Civil War, Spiderman, GotG2, Dr. Strange and Thor Ragnarok, and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Still need to catch Ant Man tho.

The finale with Dormammu was a very creative (though probably universe breaking) way of dealing with him too. Strange was my favorite MCU film since Winter Soldier. But I am major biased being a huge Dr Strange fan. While I enjoyed the animated DTV film they did of him a few years ago. I have been wanting a live action Dr Strange movie with a good budget since the late 70s. I love how the spells looked in 3d and how lots of scenes looked just like Ditko had drawn them. I haven't seen Thor Ragnarok yet. But saw Guardians 2 and really didn't care for it. But I wasn't that much into the first Guardians film.

Surfer is a character whose appeal I really don't get.
There are characters I don't care much about (Thor) but I can see why others like them.
Silver Surfer though is just so unbelievably lame to me.

Do they still have the rights to him? i didn't know "Oh we made a rebooted Fantastic 4 film and he was in the previous continuity so I guess we still own him" was a valid legal argument.
