Me, seeing "Wonder Woman 2" is the thread title: Awesome, can't wait to see what new direction they're taking....
Me seeing "Kristin Wiig is in the lead for the villain, Cheetah": Oh, they're trying to tank it.

Well, considering how many people thought that Gal Gadot was going to make a terrible Wonder Woman when she was first announced, I think I'll take the wait-and-see approach on this one.

Well, considering how many people thought that Gal Gadot was going to make a terrible Wonder Woman when she was first announced, I think I'll take the wait-and-see approach on this one. I thought the main complaint about her was that she was too small/skinny. I had no problem with her looks or acting ability, but she did bulk up a bit and came through perfectly. Plus, she was in the Israeli military, right? She knew what she had to do.

What are the odds that DC freaks out and decides to "secure"(corporate speech to meddle with and change what they think is for the best) the film, ending up ruining it Haven't they done that with almost every one of their films so far, except for Man of Steel and Wonder Woman? I guess that's more WB than DC, but I could be wrong. I'd go with WB, they have a history of meddling

Ehh. Wait and See
This to me isn't a Jesse Eisenberg where a decision is so bad and you know it's doomed from the start so i'll def give her a chance but DC obviously doesn't give you faith in any of their decisions.
Charlize Theron would have been an excellent choice and if she was on the table to be picked than yea they should have gone with her but f*** it i'm willing to give Kristen a chance as she might just show out and put in a good performance.

I'm surprised Catherine Zeta-Jones and Rhona Mitra never got roles as Catwoman or Cheetah or whatever. I know they're older now, but they're gorgeous and can act.
I also wouldn't mind Priyanka Chopra running around as a sexy superhero or villain. 😊

Theron is a badass, but I like Wiig and I know she can do heavier work. I doubt WB wants her to just rehash Lola Bunny fighting Diana.
As awesome a fight as that would be...

There's this monologue in GB where Wiig is trying to act and its atrocious. Like pure garbage. That being said Feig didn't do a damn bit of work during it, whereas she was competent in The Martian with Scott so...not the worse decision if Jenkins is on her game again in WW2

Heath Ledger. Ben Affleck. Chris Evans. Until the movie comes out, I don’t think you can judge a casting announcement. Gal Gadot too. The end-all be-all of this discussion is Michael Keaton. People were dreading a campy comedic Batman with MR. MOM in the lead role.

Somebody like Kate Beckinsale, Sienna Miller, or Charlize Theron would make perfect sense. But no, let's get the unfunny woman from Ghostbusters. Yeah, and I doubt this is a "Everybody said Ledger would suck as Joker" situation. There's just one?

Also, I loved the first WW. But the villains weren't exactly its strong point.

Amy Adams would be really good for Cheetah, if she wasn't already Lois Lane.

I just mentioned in the Rousey WWE thread that if she could act, she'd be a good choice for Cheetah. She has feline like facial features.

Confirmed. Kristen Wiig has been hired to play Cheetah. I know people say to wait and see, but this is an instant pass for me.

This is going to lead to Diana getting food poisoning and shittin' in the street in a wedding dress.

I am betting Patty Jenkins can get something really special out of Wiig and I trust her to do so.

Comic book casting news is always a toss up. You'll never know how someone will do until you see it. Like, I had a intense dislike of Jai Courtney as an actor, yet he was one of the only good things about Suicide Squad.
