His match with Shawn was very good but I liked his match with Hogan a little more. The camera shot of him busted open as he peaks above the ring smiling is still gives me chills.

I could be the only person that loved his match with Triple H at Armageddon 1999.

HBK at Mania 22. An overbooked car crash. And it's compelling as hell.

My personal favorite was the buried alive match against The Undertaker. I got a weird kick out of Taker beating the f*** out of Vince. I think Taker even opened him hardway.

Easily the Shane one. Also that if the best match ever with just one pinfall attempt ever. The only attempt is the winning one.

My personal favorite was the buried alive match against The Undertaker. I got a weird kick out of Taker beating the f*** out of Vince. I think Taker even opened him hardway. I’ve always wondered about that. Was McMahon genuinely busted on the first punch? Or did he blade? Also there’s something about that match. He was a Genuinely evil guy at that point, but I can’t help feel sorry for in that match

The Stone Cold cage match, where it's literally just Austin beating the shit out of Vince for most of it, ending with Big Show debuting as Vince's insurance policy that backfired was some good stuff.

Hogan at Mania XIX was his best match. I still can't believe vs. HBK won PWI's match of the year. Yeah that was messed up. That year saw Angle vs Taker, Edge vs Foley, Angle vs Mysterio vs Orton, Edge vs Cena TLC (my choice for Match of the Year), Shelton vs Johnny Nitro vs Carlito at Vengeance, the Fourway Tag Ladder Match at Amrageddon, Edge vs Flair TLC, and a few Big Show ECW Championship matches.

For all his faults, and there are a ton of 'em, Vince deserves props for taking an ass kicking in just about every match he's ever involved in

Was his last official match with Punk on Raw? I remember that being better/more brutal than you would think.

I'm watching old raws at the moment and actually watched the Austin match yesterday. I've been loving all the Austin stuff despite not liking it as a kid, but I really didn't enjoy that match lol. I'd go v Hogan too although I haven't seen it for years Fair enough.
I'm a storyline guy, so that is what got me into those matches.
Was just a bit boring for me. Plus I think if it happened today people would really over analyse it. Starts with Austin unable to enter cage due to McMahon so has to fake knee injury to be able to get on top, McMahon holds his own a lot although does take an ass kicking then it's McMahon who looks like the bad ass for getting back up each time to give Austin the finger. Was just all a bit odd, then to debut your new monster who instantly messes up and gifts him the win is strange too lol. I'm a guy who enjoyed the blue meanie v out of shape Goldust and mideon v bossman matches and actually enjoyed the gang wars stuff in 98 with no sense of nostaligia as I didn't watch it all as a kid, so my tastes may differ to others!!

Tough call, because vs Shane, vs Hogan, and vs Austin in the cage are all so much fun.

Vs. Undertaker in the buried alive match. The best part was before the match, Vince and Shane run into each other backstage, and stat laughing about how screwed the other one is about to be.

Vince matches were never going to be great from a technical standpoint. They were all going to require a lot of smoke and mirrors so for me, the deciding factor for me is the story going into the match and the story that played out during the match. The Hogan and HBK matches for me are the tops for that. I'd probably go with the Hogan match because of the truly iconic shot of Vince during the match but also it was Hulk Hogan vs Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania. The magnitude (POP! POP!) of that match happening at all is pretty amazing.

I remember watching him in a hardcore match against C.M. Punk that I remember thinking that it was WAY better than it had any right to be.
