And if Bob Arum of all people is saying it, you know the King Goof dun goofed. Hard for me to take Arum seriously when he was blasting Uncle Dana for wanting to keep going while also saying he was considering using the Performance Center for boxing events during the lockdown. They're just as carny as wrestling promoters at the end of the day.

MMA JunkieI get why Miocic is not willing to fight right now and I don't think he should be rushed. If the organization is going to put on shows, though, then I guess they also don't want to hold up belts. Ngannou recently said that he would probably have to wait 9-12 months if they are going to do Miocic/DC first. While not unprecedented, I don't want to wait that long to see him in the octagon again. Times are crazy, so I don't know the best course of action for those involved.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Covid-19 kills Stipe/DC being a trilogy. DC I believe just wants to fight Stipe and then be out and Ngannou isn’t part of that. I could see Ngannou/Blaydes II being set up for the interim title, DC quietly retiring, and Stipe coming back in 2021/2022 to fight the winner of Ngannou/Blaydes (or whoever the winner of that fight loses it to).

I absolutely hate UFCs fascination with interim champions.

I absolutely hate UFCs fascination with interim champions. I can only imagine of how you'd feel about champions challenging other champions for "super fights" instead of defending their own title.

Also, it was a fun day on Twitter for McGregor. Conor being Conor. Couple good clapbacks to him, too.
Curious to see what his next fight is. Couple good options.

MMA JunkieI had a feeling that there would be a hold up with one of the upcoming shows. Not set in stone, though...

How the f*** is MMA in Phase one lol It's not. It's saying that the state of Nevada is in stage 1 of its plan to re-open. Makes it sounds like Combat Sports is a part of the Phase 1 plan. Case by case basis essentially since they would have to get approved along with other non essential businesses it seems

I read it as saying the state itself is in stage 1 of its plan to reopen.

It's cool Ben Rothwell gets another win under his belly, after all those three losses before. I thought his career was over. Glover Teixeira keeps surprising too, beating Anthony Smith into bloody mess! I want Alistair Overeem to have one last mega fight with a huge build 'round it. The ol' hammerhead deserves it. www.tmz.com/2020/05/14/jon-jones-fight-francis-ngannou-ufc-heavyweight-contract-deal/I won't believe it 'til I see it. Would be a blast, regardless. Heavyweights need this fight.

I fully believe that Thiago Santos would have KO’d his ass if he didn’t blow his knee out in the first round.
