Lets forget that there was pretty much no chance that Vince was going to show up, the fact is that Bischoff was a heel when he made this challenge, which means Vince McMahon, the head of a rival promotion, was the babyface in this "feud".

I can't think of any time, company, or alternate universe where Vince McMahon vs. Eric Bischoff isn't a heel vs. heel program.

I think it was Hogan who told him “You’d better watch it, he might show up”. I think a few others who knew Vince told Bish similar things. |

Actually, Bruce Prichard and a few others had to talk him out of going, and convinced him to go to Stephanie's college graduation instead, which happened to be the same weekend. .........Vince McMahon had to be convinced to go to his daughter's college graduation instead of do the dopey carny shit. The family is fascinated and amazing and wretched all at the same time. |

I've seen Vince wrestle as a Face, he can pull it off. I also think the crowd depending on where it is would easily cheer Vince over Easy E. |

Vince is freaking nuts. The guy would shoot wrestle Angle. Vince could have broken ribs, internal bleeding, and an eye hanging out, and he'd be yelling at Bischoff that they weren't done yet. |
