And because I’m the regular Vigilantes reader around these parts... {Spoiler} We’re pretty much inches away from Crawler/Endeaver and maaaaaaaan, they’ve built this up so well. I hope they stick that landing!

Ehh... here's another manga/anime that I think sucks.
Like, what's the appeal in it? Sure, everyone looks impressed the villains are finally getting their day in the limelight, but they're going to inevitably get humiliated once again, especially the doofus with the hands and parental problems. Especially as pretty much every villain in the series is all "Society doesn't understand me, so I'ma go be bad".
But, do not, and I repeat, do NOT get me started on the heroes.

The appeal is a wide cast that isn't overshadowed by the MC The villains have always been on par with the heroes but the main villain is damn near literally identical to the hero MC Midoriya in how they are learning their powers How much have you read? Shigaraki has been fleshed out a ton and is literally destroying people

He's the villain, after all. Up until the Liberation arc, he was mostly a chatter who talked about his nihilism, but I know Deku's going to become even stronger and easily humiliate him and make it so nobody will ever want to be a villain again.

You mean like all villains do in every story? That's kinda narrow The heroes can't touch this man right now and he's still learning his power. He's never been made to be invincible (as people will see in the anime next season) just very strong as he's actually taking it serious as opposed to the lazy attitude he had at the beginning

If you’ve just skimmed it, why are you here talking about it? Especially since you seem dead set in your views. I’m basically asking what are you trying to gain here?

I dunno, I just wanted to vent, but I guess this wasn't the best idea. Some people a while back in person recommended this, and I thought it was one of the stupidest things I saw. I seem to have this habit of disliking popular things, it seems. I think I'll be leaving now.

And if you are skimming it, you are missing out on a ton details This isn't Naruto. Outside of Gentle Criminal, none of the villains have shown themselves to be redeemable or want to be redeemed. Hero Killer Stain became a villain to force heroes to be better. Shigaraki just wants to watch the world burn and is taking up the same ideas Stain did. All for One is just an animal This isn't a story filled with pretty speeches to win over the villains. Anytime they fight a villain damage is done This is a story full of consequences of your actions

Anytime they fight a villain damage is done This is a story full of consequences of your actions Like, for example, you know how easy it would have been to just kill All Might and be done with it? It’d have been the Shonen thing to do since, well, it has been done. Or even the pop culture thing. But what they did instead was have the guy still around, trying to find where he fits now he can’t just go into his muscle form and solve all the problems. Now there’s been a top hero vaccum that hasn’t been filled yet, {Spoiler} Endeaver could be that hero, it could be someone else or things can get more chaotic before the true hero steps up and leads. And that doesn’t even get into the impact on society as a whole.

And that doesn’t even get into the impact on society as a whole. And too add on to that, the death of All Might has been foreshadowed and is inevitable but the fact he's still around and able to contribute adds a lot to the story because he literally is the symbol of peace and the world has crumbled without him The story is about heroes and villains and we have gotten the perspective from both sides. Both communities lost their symbols in All for One and All Might and now the new generation is stepping up You don't have your regular criminals as villains anymore. You got people tired of society and blame it all on the heroes who were greedy or selfish and they aren't all the way wrong {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} From Shigaraki POV, if his grandmother didn't give his father up for adoption , then maybe he wouldn't have came away as such an asshole and been more loving
It is a short sided one way of thinking but it works because that abuse triggered Shigaraki to kill his family

Oh, I haven’t spoken about Vigilantes in a while. The main arc is over for now and whilst we’re not sure of the ramifications from events yet... {Spoiler}Underground Illegal Fight Clubs are canon in the MHA universe. It’s super weird to see but makes total sense.

I mean, there is a pretty big impact of one thing you probably won't see until Season 6 from Vigilantes technically

So I really can’t be tempted into these things.

We are getting the hero and villian perspectives, it is making the story interesting
