This is weird. I've never met anyone IRL that admitted to liking this movie, and celebrating a 4th anniversary of when a movie came out seems odd. Like, why not wait until the 5th or 10th anniversary to try to make a big deal out of it? It's weird when you read about super-obsessive Kubrick fans knowing the thread count of the sheets in The Shining or wanting to get into fistfights over the correct aspect ratio of Barry Lyndon but at least you can say they're insanely obsessed over a great filmmaker. Being this devoted to Snyder and Justice League is legitimately pathetic. I usually try not to judge people's interests so harshly but with some of the shit they've pulled over the years, here we are.

I don't think a Snyder Cut is being released anytime soon even if it actually existed beyond a work print. You'd think if it were going to be released, throwing it out on VOD now would be a good time. WE ARE SUFFERING ENOUGH

Somebody I follow on Twitter is a big Snyder fanboy so they're live tweeting the watch along with commentary. Apparently he claims now the general guy from MoS and BvS was always Martian Manhunter.
First---bullshit.
But second, if you allow that's true then J'onn is a royal asshole for allowing Zod to destroy much of Metropolis and potentially the world and doing nothing.

Guess what everybody? The thread comes full circle. Oh, I'm watching this. The crap that's sure to come out of his mouth is going to be legendary. EDIT: Aw, missed it.

The Martian Manhunter stuff was definitely addressed at some point in the thread. Snyder himself said in response to a fan theory that Harry Lennix's character could be J'onn that it wasn't something he had considered, but would be open to revisiting in future movies, and Lennix himself said that the theory was fun, but incorrect.
So yeah, the assertion that he was always intended to be Martian Manhunter is complete bullshit. At best, it was a Snyder Cut retcon that never made it into Justice League proper; at worst, it's something Snyder retroactively put out there to keep the Snyder Cut relevant.
Also, with all due respect to Harry Lennix, if you're casting for a character who will carry his own series of blockbuster movies somewhere down the line, you cast a bigger name than him.

Also bullshit on Superman waking up the Motherboxes. Otherwise you f***ed up the timeline on Cyborg becoming Cyborg.

Cavill, Gadot, and Momoa all fit that bill to a tee. Hollywood politics being what they are, there's just not a lot of leading roles in blockbuster movies for 50+ year-olds who aren't already A-listers. Uh... The Tudors was a pretty massive hit. He was also the lead in Immortals, which was a solid success two years before Man of Steel. Cavill's star was on the rise and MOS came at just the right time for him.

Zack, I say this with all due respect. You're a garbage storyteller and everything Warner ever allowed you to violate was a mistake. Don't ever come near anything I like ever again. Your gutter vision is irredeemable, everyone would be better off if you were never allowed near the DC Universe. You're the worst. Thanks.

The Atom was present in most of the Snyder flicks you guys, he was just too small to be seen.
