And Ray Fisher is STILL waiting for that apology! Ironically, now he can't post anything without a million people reminding him that he now owes James Gunn an apology.

Even if they HAD announced anything official with Cavill you'd still have the fundamental issue that there would be zero damages in them pulling the plug because the hypothetical movie was never at a position where anyone was charged or even theoretically would have been charged in the near future over it. No one would be owed shit because they wouldn't be out anything to begin with.

The Snyder Cultists are nuts, we all know that. They've proven it a million times over.
But when the sources for anything are Giant Freaking Robot and an Instagram called Gunnverse, I have to question it. I checked the original source and it's literally three people spitballing on Twitter. That's it. And even those three people don't think they actually can.
GFR is such click bait and I hate that I gave them a click.

Cavill is busy with Warhammer now. Also he's way too smart to burn bridges.
f***, Snyder folk are stupid.

Imma sue Canon films for promising Skeletor would be back in 1987.
That's right, I'm gonna bankrupt Canon Films!

GFR is absolutely clickbait, but this would be a stupid lawsuit thrown out regardless and I doubt it becomes anything but internet grumbling that leads to nothing. The "Ana De Armas not in Yesterday thing" was a very unique situation and that doesn't apply at all to Cavill's Black Adam cameo.

Snyderbros wouldn't even pay for HBO Max to watch the Snydercut, there's no way they're funding a doomed lawsuit and risking being on the hook for WB's legal fees over this.

No one would be owed shit because they wouldn't be out anything to begin with. Thats what would sink a lawsuit. No damages. No ticket paid for. The Yesterday lawsuit had damages, even if its just a couple of tickets. It would be real interesting though. Since it was an after credits scene could that be judged as not an actual part of the movie but instead an advertisement for a future movie?

Yeah, Cavill WAS in Black Adam (which he was not advertised for) there was no Man of Steel 2 Teaser trailer with Cavil saying that's right I am back as Superman in this movie... and even if there WAS... No Man of Steel 2 movie came out without him being there. it's literally two different situations entirely.

Hell them acting like the "Snyderverse" is even separate IP rather than just work for hire jobs is bizarre. Ken Penders vibes.

In comic book movies, they are mostly just Easter eggs, at best first drafts for something they may commit to later (the Wakandan lab at the end of Civil War looks almost nothing like what we see in the actual Black Panther films). Besides, if the implication of a sequel that just never materialized was grounds for a "false advertisement" suit, Hollywood would be bankrupt in a week. Hell, there's about a dozen examples of sequels that were teased and then dropped from that very studio, from Mark Strong as Sinestro in Green Lantern, to Mister Mind in Shazam. Hell, Deathstroke's entire existence in the DCEU is just a pair of after credits scenes.

This thread has been on 400 pages for far too long. Is Snyder ok? He hasn’t given us anything to feed the thread lately.
