Horseplay
A fine episode, well we are finally getting some Celestia's character growth. It started in "A Royal Problem", Celestia is being written more of a complete character than just a mentor / authority figure. It only took them how many seasons, better late than never.
And her acting wow, it is just bad, but it was adorable and funny her trying. Not able to control the tone of voice. Should Twilight know better? Maybe, but it is someone she thinks the word of, and it is super hard to tell her, she stinks.
And in the end, Celestia does what she does better, which troll us with the idea of giving up the throne. I thought it would have been better if what she meant was simply "we are friends, just call me Celestia".
Anyway I enjoyed it.

Between her levitating some ponies pestering her in "Fame And Misfortune" and seeing her comforting Fluttershy, I'm starting to think that Fluttershy and Starlight seem to get along the most out of Starlight's other mane six friendships (besides her mentor). Starlight's long term plan of a new Our Town is dependant on Fluttershy's support, since she liked the first version. |
