Hell no. If ever there was anyone who I could buy being tag team champion by himself, it's Braun. He's the sort of larger then life Superstar that can get away with that kind of silliness.

Absolutely yes. He jumped the shark WAY back for me. I just can't get into the goofy "cartoon character" thing. I think he's a terrible wrestler, so it's not like his matches make up for what I hate about his character. I get why people like him, but he's just not my cup of tea.

This isn't a popular opinion, I know, but I've always thought that if they pushed Braun as the top guy it would get old very quick. He's a lot of fun smashing things and flipping things over, but that can only go so far.

The whole reason he won the tag titles with a kid was so he can have a loophole to win the tag titles and not have an actual partner. It's not like it doesn't make sense with his whole persona. He doesn't want a partner. This is how he gets away with it.

Never liked him to begin with so the shark is still at the starting line wondering when he's supposed to get jumped.

It will be funny when he shows up on RAW with his tag partner.

I'm not normally okay with wrestlers winning championships when they debut, but Braun trying to defend the titles against the Authors of Pain by himself could be a great way to get them over, and have Braun look strong by being able to go down fighting. I really dig this idea, and I think it's the perfect way to debut the Authors of Pain. I'd even be fine with Strowman and [inserting rotating fan every week] having a six week run with the Tag Team Championships before having the Authors of Pain be the team to slay Braun Strowman at the May PPV. You could easily introduce the Authors of Pain tomorrow night on Raw, have them quickly run through the depleted division over the course of six weeks, slay the monster among men before moving into a fued with the newly formed tandem of Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt.

Eh, no, but it did feel like a weak payoff, I get he wanted to run through them alone but I would have rather he got a partner, was really rooting for James Ellsworth...

"Nobody roots for Goliath", as Wilt Chamberlain put it.

Personally, hated it. It’s dumb, it damages the tag team division and runs the risk of fans thinking it’s okay to get in the ring.
My friends I was watching with enjoyed it however.

Nope, I love real life cartoon character Braun. Him and Elias are just fun. Sometimes, and most times in my opinion, that’s all wrestling needs to be.

And I was rooting for Neville... I really really wanted it to be Neville. If only for the pop the crowd would've given him. Plus Braun's power with Neville's speed and athleticism would've been awesome.

I'd have dug it, too, though I am cool with it if this ends up being an Authors of Pain in, since Braun's the kind of guy where 2 on 1 would still be pretty impressive if they wreck him.

Nah, I think he's still pretty awesome.
It's a cheap stunt because he officially needed a partner so he goes and gets a kid from the audience becuase he doesn't want a partner.
It will undoubtedly be "undone" tommorow with my guess it being stripped from the history books because a kid can't hold the titles due to the athletic commission blah blah...
it doesn't really diminish the tag titles as other people seem to say it does because... the Raw titles haven't really meant a damned thing in months and the Title division needs a complete overhaul.

He's a genuinely fun character, so he can jump whatever he wants.

I wonder if they're going for a Mick Foley thing where he does goofy stuff outside the ring, but inside he's all business. So AJ Styles then?

He's a lot of fun smashing things and flipping things over, but that can only go so far. Giants have the sort of instant credibility where you can slot them into the main event when needed, but they were never meant as perennial main eventers or long-term champions. They're more of an attraction and I honestly feel like Braun is filling that role quite nicely.

Yeah, Sheamus and Cesaro have been for months losing to everything with a pulse and having all their matches get crickets anyway, and be it Slater and Rhyno, the Revival, Titus Worldwide, or some other Raw team that I'm forgetting exists because I think I named them all, no one cares about any of them.
