Episode 31 is watchable for the first time ever, AFAIK. It was a live show where there was some sort of technical problem that caused it to air audio only. There was just a message on a black screen apologizing for the issues while you could hear the announcers and the ring sounds. At some point, USA Network just cut away from the broadcast and started airing the previous week's episode. It actually aired the following Saturday morning in the livewire time slot they announced the next night on raw after apologizing for the inconvenience that it would air the following week but I’m guessing few saw it because by that time livewire was a poorly rated clip show.

So I’m up to November 1998 after watching it drunk. And all I have is the Oddities dreadful dubbed theme in my head. They must appear every week.
Other than that it feels like such a star show with Austin, Undertaker, Rock, Mankind etc

I wonder if that was where I found one of the matches from episode 31, it was really low quality, but it was watchable.

The only commentator worse than Vince McMahon is his kid. David Crockett got a lot of hate for being terrible but atleast he came off like a lovable dim witted goof due to him being so excited about everything and not knowing many words to verbalize that excitement while Shane seems like he’s off his medication.Watching these early shows knowing that the original heat announce team was gonna be Shane McMahon and Cyrus until shortly before the show they realized they needed a Pro to hold shane’s hand kinda makes me wish that happened just for the trainwreak factor.

The 11/15/98 Heat Show before Survivor Series has Owen doing the stunt where he was lowered on a harness and in this occasion Steve Blackman would attack him while he was still attached. I’m guessing that’s how it was to be that night where he passed away.

I’m guessing that’s how it was to be that night where he passed away. If I remember correctly Russo wasn't happy with how long it took for Owen to get the harness off when they did that stunt before Survivor Series '98 (using the logic that the opponent could just attack Owen while he was busy), which is why they went for the quick release instead of the safer, sturdier version.
