Spider-Man was Optimus Prime all over again. I'm gonna be a mess if Cap dies in Avengers 4.

Another forum I'm on has a significant contingent who are on the "f*** Quilll" bandwagon, which has descended into a circular argument of "There's no way Thanos could've won if Quill didn't f*** up" vs. "Of course Thanos would still win, they can't use the Gauntlet and he's still ridiculously overpowered!" I mean it's an interesting debate. They did a good job making Thanos OP as f*** but also vulnerable in a sense and if they got the glove if the best you could have said is they have a fighting chance The problem was the distraction wasn't going to last for long so even if they got the glove fully off(which Spiderman sort of did) what the f*** were they going to do next with it. Quill hastened the pace but unless they said a plan and I don''t remember, they were still stuck on the planet with Thanos and that glove fits none of them to even use it It's not even a fit issue, it's an issue of being able to handle the power. They could have given it to Strange who could banish it possibly, but where could they hide it? I'm still not sure Stephen could have gotten them back to Earth with his powers, or anywhere it would have been safe for long. More than likely, Tony would have tried to put it on, thinking he was the leader and it was the only way they could stop Thanos, and it would have driven him completely crazy. No one else could have wielded it without it completely destroying them. The only way Peter was able to handle the Power stone was because he's half Celestial, and even then, he needed his friends to help stabilize it. Strange understood this, he knew no one on Titan could wield the Stones, and I think that's one factor that played into him giving up the Time Stone.

Holy shit. I didn't even notice that. Was it completely gone?? I mean her and Aaron Johnson had terrible accents in AOU, so I'm not complaIning but wow. Aw, I liked Moose-And-Squirrel Scarlet Witch. I legit laughed out loud. Now I want to watch AOU again.

Based on his references to Empire Strikes Back and Alien, seems like Parker has a predilection for older movies, rather than ones from recent years. Every time Peter refers to a movie as "that old movie", a piece of me dies inside.

If anybody wields the Gauntlet in A4 my money will be on Carol. With Feige flat out stating she's the most powerful entity in the MCU I can see her being the only one who can use it and not be obliterated.

Put it this way, Stark would've been around the same age or younger than Peter around the time those movies came out.

The more I think about it, the more I see how, to paraphrase Hawkeye in Civil War, if they were going to win, some of them were gonna have to lose; besides the aforementioned problem of none of them being strong enough to wield the Gauntlet, there's also the problem of Thanos having a standing army ready to cull the whole damn Earth. It wasn't enough to just defeat him, they had to undo everything he's done on a galactic scale, and that will almost certainly require the Gauntlet assembled (Time and Reality to reset the world as it was, Space to reset it everywhere, and Mind to know how).

Yea more than likely you will see the retirements and deaths of the original team Cap more than likely bites the dust while someone like Tony probably will get heavily injured and retire Banner and Natasha probably run off and do their own thing too Hawkeye is another who people got the death flag on but they could do something like have him lose an arm ala Green Arrow

I would be heartbroken to see Tony or Steve bite it, but this would be so much worse to me.

I would be heartbroken to see Tony or Steve bite it, but this would be so much worse to me. That's why I think they will probably just do something to Hawkeye like him losing an arm instead of outright killing him. That way you can always have him comeback for a one off if ever needed be but he will be retired after this for sure Everybody expects one of either Tony or Cap to die and it's so up in the air you can't really say. Assuming that the time skip in Avengers 4 is permanent than you a character in Tony who's probably grown weary of the world but Cap keeps up the good fight being the symbol of justice I'll still go more towards Cap dying than anything which will be the death felt around the world akin to Superman getting killed by Doomsday. Plus you have Chris Evans keep saying he's done as Cap which could be BS but i'm sure he's ready to go from the role meanwhile Downey Jr is more than likely fine continuing on as Stark in a more subdued role

Cap dying will likely inspire other characters (either Falcon or Bucky when they return from the dusting) to take up his shield.

I really hope they can sneak Kamala Khan in at the end of the Captain Marvel movie. She'd be a nice fit with the next generation of young heroes alongside Spidey and Shuri.

It's not like you have to worry about making solo movies for guys like Iron Man and Captain America moving forward They are in cameo roles so even if you kill Cap than you have Falcon or Bucky take up the shield and they will be involved in someone else movie moving forward Same with if they have Tony retire as Iron Man and eventually put someone else in the suit which I would doubt at this point as i'm sure the time skip as eaten at his conscious due to the death of Spiderman

I had a fun idea for a neat mid-credits stinger. We see a then-unidentified young girl setting up her Captain Marvel posters as her mom calls her name ("Kamala, come down for dinner!"). Kamala comes down for dinner, then the camera pans on a costume design she's been working on: a fairly comic-accurate drawing of the Ms. Marvel costume she wears in the comics.

Marvel's had way more hits than misses with their villains so far. Thanos and Killmonger are both incredible, Vulture was a perfect fit for his film, and count me too enjoying how hammy Hela was. Loki's always been fun in whatever role he plays, and I loved Winter Solder and Alexander Pierce. On the Netflix side, there's Cottonmouth, Wilson Fisk and Kilgrave. Yeah, the Hand kinda suck, but the Defenders themselves make up for them. Yellowjacket was pretty weak, I'll admit, but Ant-Man was a cool movie anyway. My take with the villains is while a well rounded, three dimensional villain is nice, sometimes you just need someone who is unrepentantly evil.
