I would have seen it either way (I mean it’s a Marvel movie after all), but I’m really loving the cast so far.

Exactly how did it state that? Was it in a source that could have been faked in order to avoid having those uncomfortable questions about why an octogenarian is still smoking hot? I legitimately don't remember. Zola states, as the enter the military base.. "Steve Rogers, born 1918. Natasha Rominoff, born 1984." Zola, who was with Hydra, would know if Natasha was older than that. Actually, in my scenario it might be possible that Zola might not have known it. Yes, Hydra was imbedded in the KGB, but the KGB was probably worse than the CIA and SHIELD about secrets within secrets (and that movie already demonstrated that Fury successfully buried some things so well that Hydra did not know about it, so the KGB could do so as well). Considering that she did not know her father's name, that would indicate that she was put into a program obscenely young, which suggested that the program she was in was really self contained. It would not be a hard retcon to suggest that anyone in a super-soldier from birth program like I suggested was so isolated in the KGB's records that Hydra had not penetrated it. Therefore, Zola would only know what the official records say.

They could also very easily say that her birth name was Natalia Romanova and that all records of her were erased when she escaped the program and became Natasha Romanoff. Could even say Fury set up fake birth records.

Wouldn't Red Skull has said "Natalia" and not "Natasha" if her name was changed?

Wouldn't Red Skull has said "Natalia" and not "Natasha" if her name was changed? Maybe, but maybe not. Actually, I doubt it. He referred to Gamora as "Gamora, daughter of Thanos" rather than her birth father. I seriously doubt Thanos bothered with a legal adoption, but Gamora accepting this adoption as fact probably makes it part of her true identity. Hence, Schmidt's address to her would have been based on her real self. Nat being Natasha would be her real identity now since that is who she chooses to be.

I could dig it. I see your Crimson Dynamo, and raise you one Ivan Kragoff. After Endgame, the world could use some Scarlett Johansson fighting a gorilla, an orangutan, and a baboon.

What the hell does she mean by "sickening?" Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Pretty hype for this movie. I don’t know the other comic book characters being featured, but it feels like it’ll be fun.

Makes sense given the time frame of the movie.
