The more I see of Jump Force, the more I like it. The art style will take a bit to get used to, but I'll give it credit for looking stunning.

If you're on top, you will fall.
If you're on the bottom, either you come rallying back or you're out like SEGA. And even then it took a long time and a lot of stupid decisions before SEGA decided to finally bow out.
In 2006 Sony was in the process of ending the life cycle of arguably the greatest console of all time and made a conference of just horrendous unintentional memes and a system that they f***ed up so badly when making it that they sold it at a lost at $599.
Nintendo was on a roll in 2008 and they based their conference around Wii Music and just how great the Wii was. It took them 10 years to finally get back to where they are.
Xbox had won the generation in 2013 and proceeded to f*** up the One in a great number of ways, not the least of which was forced Kinect and alway online DRM.
Now it's happening to Sony again. Don't buy stock in anything they do the next couple of years because they'll probably be lagging come this upcoming generation.

That also wasn't Nintendo's first brush with unadulterated arrogance. They were drowning in it during the last third of the SNES' lifespan, even in spite of the Virtual Boy's complete failure. And then the N64 came out and sticking with expensive to buy/produce cartridges that had inferior capabilities for audio and full-motion video performance, along with Hiroshi Yamauchi's ego and complete dismissal of third party concerns, doomed the console to play second fiddle to the original Playstation (which was only created because Nintendo pulled the rug under Sony's feet with the SNES-CD addon they were cooperating on, codenamed "Playstation.").
Nintendo was its own worst enemy in the mid 90's and they created their own toughest competition in the Playstation line. That damaged relationship with third party publishers still has lasting effects to this day.

That damaged relationship with third party publishers still has lasting effects to this day. Some of those third party issues even had their roots with Nintendo's complete monopoly of the American video game market from 85-91 where they were such big pains in the ass for third parties and retailers that much of Sega's momentum came about because so many companies were sick of dealing with them.

That, too. NoA, especially during the Howard Lincoln days, were notorious in how they handled relationships with third parties. Not just with licensing, but with censorship of imagery/dialogue (like translating a spell's name in Final Fantasy III/VI "Holy" as "Pearl") only starting to let up a bit once the ESRB ratings were established. Though the late 80's and early 90's had this whole "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!" movement going on that Nintendo just went along with.
Even after the ESRB ratings were established, Nintendo still had the reputation of being a kiddie system compared to the Playstation, which had more "adult" feeling games.

Scripted gameplay still shows off more of the game engine and general aesthetic than just a bunch of trailers though? Don't get the 'oh the gameplay was so scripted' arguement. It's a showcase. Sony gave me the best ideas of what the games they showed were about.. ProJared says it in his Sony video, but the problem with scripted gameplay is that it's scripted and not representative of what the game actually plays like. they mess with camera angles to make it look more cinematic and boost the graphics way past what is actually capable of... and a bunch of other tricks that make the game look better than it is. and if you are going to do that, just show a quick sizzle real.

I also dislike scripted gameplay trailers but you know people would not let it down and would make your game look bad if the player screws up or something bugs out. I don't like it either but I get why its a thing.

Jesus all the information on Cyberpunk 2077...I mean it's almost too good to be true.
Selfishly I really hope this game isn't too far off release but at the same time I want CPR to take as long as possible to get this right, cause if they execute all that's promised I don't see how this doesn't become my favourite game of all time.

Fallout 76 is a rollescoaster of bad good here. it starts sounding bad, then promising, then the e3 presentation makes it look awful, then the documentary makes it look really good. Then Toldd says players might be always showing in the minimap. Just release the beta so I can see if it is good! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)
