So is this going to be a normal WWE Show, or another one paid for by the Saudi Government?

The Greatest Survivor Series? 4 month delay, so its probably going to be Greatest Battleground or Greatest Money in the Bank.

The Greatest Survivor Series? May as well make it the real Survivor Series. Having two of the same event in the same year is one thing, but two in the same month is super overkill.

I want them to keep putting on ever bigger Royal Rumbles just to see who they can dig up for these things.

So is this going to be a normal WWE Show, or another one paid for by the Saudi Government? Sold show (KSA is bringing them in). They have a ten year deal with them. Same with the UAE and a few other places, just not the money they're getting from KSA

Honestly something like that would be awesome. There are shitloads of old PPV names they don't use, so it might be a good idea to use them for international supershows.

I think it's a brilliant business move by WWE, social commentary not withstanding.
If it's really hundreds of millions of dollars on the table, WWE have secured themselves for a number of years without having to sell a single ticket.
Not long ago, we were discussing the TV rights deal keeping them afloat and losing the company if that fell through as attendance figures couldn't justify WWE'S existence.

I don't mind, I loved the reactions of the kids enjoying themselves. But if the rich guys are in the front row again, can we stop them walking around all the damn time? Such a distraction.

Thign to me is, there's a big risk-reward factor here. Yeah, they're probably getting a TON of cash to do this, and that's great. It expands their market, theoretically, assuming anything beyond this show is available to the general public there. If not...then it does nothing to grow business. The downside of course is that they run shows there, with the limitations they are given (and those limitations will go up after the ad they aired that got them so much heat), what affect will it have on the oh so important casual and non-fan markets in other counties who might look at it and say "wait the company is doing this thing in a place where what many of us hold as important is held back, so we should support this company with money while they work with a system we think is bad". That won't make the non-fans jump on board and give them money. So what they get from the Saudis has to outweigh what they might lose in every other market they have based on their decision.
