Meaning: huge monster guy who they don’t really want to put the title on, but will always be too big and powerful to just job out. Will always be focussed heavily but will continue to steamroll over other, smaller guys to stay protected.
It’s a long way from happening, but will the sound of “BRRRAAUUN” one day generate the same apathy and groans as “WE-ELLLLL”?

Yes and no. Up until this point they’ve protected Braun heavily but this whole shit with Lesnar is slowing down everyone I’m regards to people who could and should have been universal champion
Braun as far as the gimmick is concerned has been able to be corny but still wreck shit which is good for him. It’s going come a time when he probably is going have to say no to ideas because they will keep testing the envelope to see how much they can get away with him and the fans will buy it

Becoming the new Big Show? That sounds like a choice.

Braun debuted as a heel in 2015, but has turned only once so far. By the same stage in his career, Big Show had turned 4 times.
So Braun has some catching up to do to become the new Big Show. And he's going to have to turn every 2-3 months or so to beat The Big Show, because 1 - Strowman started to wrestle a lot later than Show and 2 - everyone lost count of how many times Show has actually turned.

This is hyperbole at its finest. Not that being the “new” Big Show is a bad career direction for anyone, guy made millions. But, he isn’t in “danger” of anything. He has been booked well.

Oh no how dare Braun becomes like one of the biggest, successful and most well known WWE superstars for two decades ... now I want to see Braun and Roman have a Monster Truck Match on top of the Superdome

Becoming the new Big Show? That sounds like a choice. Funny how in six months, he went from Champion to working shows in Jeffersonville.

Fantastic chemistry that just shows in all of their matches. The fact they had an Ambulance Match that was actually good is testiment to their abilities together.

I mean, ya wanna hope WWE doesn't eventually book him into the same hole they book every giant/dominant wrestler that comes into the door, but the only two they've ever got it right with are Andre and Brock (though his most recent run could be argued, there isn't the "wind has left the sails" feeling when he shows up). Now, they were both talented and both physical freaks by "physical freak" standards, but Andre worked because he wasn't there every week and therefore had a longer shelf life. And Brock was never "brought down to Earth". He didn't have several losses against the status quo main-eventers (which is why it worked so well when Guerrero beat him for the belt), and if he was promo'd on he didn't just sit there and take it (and had/has a master shittalker himself in Heyman).
They could still pull it off with Braun, but they need to make sure they keep doing right by him and what's worked before and not establish him as a mere mortal. Once they do that, they've made him just another big guy, and I don't have faith in creative/writing to pull him out of that trap.

Fun fact: Braun Strowman is so strong, he can break an iron-clad contract.

I don't want Brawn as champion. I prefer him doing random funny big man shit and being entertaining.

I mean, it's almost like booking someone to just be objectively better than everyone else on the roster is a narrative dead end.

I get what your saying, but there's still a lot of time. He's not ruined by any means.

Braun will never replace Big Show as the local man who ruins everything

Big Show's problem earlier in his career was that he was fat. That, and he came into the WWF with "WCW Attitude", which they more or less had to beat out of him.
