I really liked Carmella's over the top heeling in her ring work on the show. Her personality is ace - her ring work will hopefully catch up. The finish should have been a bit longer, with her working the leg after the injury instead of just getting a quick rollup after the cheap shot.
Nia Jax looked really weird with the lighter hair, like they didn't change any of her other makeup to take into account her new hair color or something. Her Be a Star speech afterwards was terrible and capped off with the perfect WWE mixed message of "bullies get their asses kicked."

Why the crap was Alexa dominating Nia? Does she seriously only know how to wrestle one kind of match? It was bad enough when Alexa was dominating Charlotte. Because they've got a certain amount of time to kill, and Nia is both too big to be believable on offense for long periods of time (If Alexa kicks out of too much stuff it kills her), and lacks a diverse enough set of offense to make going on the attack for a long period interesting. Thus, the heel has to be on offense for a long time due to shenanigans.

Surprised to hear Nia/Alexa 2 wasn't a squash. I got not having one at Mania because Cena/Taker was on the card, but it really should have been a four minute match. Not surprised it didn't go too well as a ten minute match though, that's the opposite of booking to their strengths. It's not surprising though. WWE love to book needlessly competitive matches for the sake of filling time, especially with the women, as if they fear they'd be criticized on Twitter if the women's matches are too short. It doesn't matter if it fits the story or not. Emma dominated Asuka. Twice. Then she was released days later. That's the worst example of it. I was expecting it for reasons you described. WWE really never does squashes when they're necessary anymore. Reminded me of when Kane murdered Chavo in five seconds at Wrestlemania 24 and then in the rematch at Backlash Chavo controlled huge chunks of the match and wore Kane down. It was so stupid.

Can all those women just go away for a very, very long time? This works great for the women's revolution. Good idea. All events are now sausage fests only. Who needs Saudi Arabia?

Asuka was ready for Emma's future endeavours. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Also, the commentary hurt the main show matches even more. What's the point of having the commentators praise Alexa as a strong champ and making out like Carmella is a super strong worker though its blatantly obvious she is not?

Ruby was great on the pre-show, but yeah I heard the main show women's matches weren't good at all... Yeah, Ruby/Bayley wasn't bad, much better than the 2 title matches.

I was told ad nauseam for the past month by song in a horrible commercial that these dual branded were the best of both worlds starting in Newark last night...that was false and one of my biggest pet peeves is being lied to via song.
It doesn’t seem that hard to just book the best people on a ppv with this talent roster that wouldn’t be hard.

Honestly the Alexa/Nia match would've worked TONS better if Nia Jax just squashed Alexa in 2 minutes flat, and thus paid off the 'tormentee beating up the bully' storyline much better as well as building up the RAW Women's title. As it stands now, Nia looks like a hella weak champ for letting Alexa get in so much offense despite being a much more imposing figure. Way to promote the title, guys. Also, Alexa wouldn't have been injured. Also, this match being a squash would've given more time to the Sami/Kevin vs Braun/Bobby match as that one was far too quick and uneventful after all the hoopla Owens and Zayn got in Quebec hyping up the tag team match.

Carmella and Alexa aren’t good to begin with and Nia and Charlotte are average at best. Combine that with some asinine booking and here we are.

With the storyline this match has had and the build Nia has had, it would have made sense for her to simply annihilate Alexa after running roughshod over her. It would be the heel getting their long overdue comeuppance by a powerful physical wrestler. I get that they seemed obsessed with making Alexa look strong but this is a case where a short one sided match would have been perfect.

I for one am glad they didn't have Alexa get squashed by the female Great Khali considered how Alexa dominated the rest of the female roster in 2017.

Yeah, as a woman myself, they should just all go away and go back into the kitchen. God help I want certain, over-pushed wrestlers to go away.
