Let's cut it out and get back on track, please.
Can't say I'm thrilled by this news, but I can't just automatically assume his wife is in a weird Stockholm Syndrome place mentally, either; it's entirely possible that they worked through a lot and that they're both in a good place now, but given the stats and history of issues like this it's hard for me to have my hopes particularly high.
Still, charges were dropped and she's vouching for him, I guess he deserves one more chance, but I really, really hope that Impact, and by extension anyone else in the industry, is (within reason) keeping an eye on the situation. The initial incident just sounded so freaking awful and strange that, again, it's tough to be optimistic.

Charges were dropped, but the fact of the matter is that the f***er jumped off a moving car just to put his wife in a headlock.
TNA has been sending a message for years that it welcomes domestic abusers.

What's insert pun name here doing in the Impact Zone. When he got fired, someone said 'What's Dick Duckling doing in the Impact Zone?' The next CAW wrestler I make will DEFINITELY be called Dick Duckling.

It does make me uncomfortable to watch him preform but its difficult to blacklist someone completely when the person they abused is whole hardily going to bat for them and would be working for the same company.

Domestic abuse aside, it's funny that tna will always sign wwe rejects.

None of us know what’s going on in their relationship, and if we were all judged by our very worst actions I doubt anyone would come off looking good. He deserves a chance.

Like I said before in the thread, I've made more mistakes than I can count. At my worst I made some horrific personal decisions. I never scared my wife so much she jumped out a movie car, then did the same and physically attacked her because she criticised one of my matches. Nothing she could have done justified that. He deserves to be judged on that in the same way my mistakes, your mistakes and the mistakes of everyone else here have had an impact on their lives.

It was a shitty thing, and it cost him his job and presumably a lot in legal fees. Swann is 27 years old. He could be on this Earth for another 60 years, and this is the industry he knows. What would you prefer he do?

What would you prefer he do? I'd like him to show some contrition. He's 27? That's an adult responsible for his own actions. Make a statement that he and his wife are working through things, that he's sorry for things he's done and wants to educate himself, seek help and repair his image. All he's done since the incident is have his lawyers make ridiculous statements essentially threatening WWE and retire anD return in short order. He's done nothing to show he's learned from the situation.

Enzo was ultimately not charged and there were still a lot of posters who came out and essentially said "he's an asshole, guilty anyways". In another thread we have Lio Rush still being mocked for an offhand remark he made a year ago because he didn't apologize in the way posters would like. I can't really blame Swann for simply deciding "you know what? I'm moving on."

But it's TNA so fat chance.
