If VINCE McMAHON, The Godfather of pro wrestling tells you not to do something and you do it anyways, you’re monumentally stupid and deserve every shit angle that they give you before they inevitably release your sorry ass. I don't even think it's ignoring Vince that got him heat, hell going out there and creating something like that is one of things people usually say he likes. I think it is all on added beat down. When the guy you're working with says don't do something, you don't do it, especially when you're in a situation like this. This is what got Cryme Tyme fires years back. Especially since he f***ed around not with a wrestler, but with an actor. Carny as WWE is, they tend to be a lot different with people they bring in from outside of wrestling, even if it's just local actors answering casting calls. Some dickhead takes liberties in the ring with a local jobber and the jobber might think "Oh I'll just take it because it might impress them" and any jobber brought in is usually hoping to get in with the company. An actor isn't, they're here to do a one night job and get paid, there's no consideration for anything else. f***ing around with someone who has no inherent stake in putting up with WWE's bullshit is seen very differently. Especially if WWE is working regularly with that casting agency. There's so many outside-of-the-company complications heere that would have landed Cass and WWE in potential legal trouble or made them look really bad within the industry. Going off script would get someone a bit of heat, but this went well beyond that and into taking stupid risks. If he'd gotten sloppy and hurt the guy in the beatdown segment, he'd probably be right off TV right now.

What happened with Cryme Tyme? I think it was when they attacked a referee post-match after a screwy finish in a tag title match on a house show, and it actually got them fired for a few months. Yeah, it was one of those things where the ref the ref counted them out or something because WWE have them call it like they see it. The ref ended up calling for Cryme Tyme to lose even though they were booked to win and in frustration or trying to save face, they took the guy's belt and used their finish on him.

JTG suggested in his PDF books that Cade and Murdoch were in on it and encouraged the ref to count faster.

cjb I love you to pieces and I know the hyperbole is kind of your gimmick but if every guy you declared dead actually died the first time you were right WWE's roster right now would consist only of the Undertaker and the catering that all the standardised fat joke wrestlers aren't eating any more.

Now that itself is hyperbole, and in this sense, Cass screwed this up himself, this isn't me thinking, the writing almost seems on the wall
