It bothers me way more than it should that at no point she has never called herself Captain Marvel on screen but people know to call her that

Yeah, until I'm in the cinema and the credits roll anything relating to Mysterio screams great, big fat "LIE!!!!" to me.
Especially since the main reason you'd mention another universe existing in a Spider-Man film, Miles, potentially already exists in this Spider-Man's universe and was very definitely purposefully easter egg'd in Homecoming. So it makes making Miles being from another universe more pointless when they can easily just throw him out there whenever they want. Which honestly wouldn't surprise me if it is something they'll keep in their back pocket till Tom's getting ready to wrap things up as Spider-Man some years down the line.

No way is Mysterio from another Earth, he's lying. Michelle knows! They got that theory out of the way quickly. That's been the theory that she's known for a long time, and they just confirmed it in the trailer. It's probably a swerve Her: .... Just kidding! Now seriously, what did you wanna tell me? Lol. You can smell the swerve a million miles away. Well only if you know who Mysterio is.

I'd say I want Spider-Gwen but her appearance doesn't have as much weight if she doesn't exist in that world

Hope that they Gwen Stacy Michelle and bring in Felicia and Mary Jane. This girl does nothing for me Yes please...but I know, I know...diverse cast. Name celebrity. Etc. etc. etc. Never mind she's about as likable to me as Darcy in Thor. Or Purple Hair in The Last Jedi. Wonder if the multiple timelines lead to Peter attempting to get Tony back? Doubt it as I'm sure they'd tease it here. But...more likely, it's been introduced to get us ready for the new additions...

Spider-Men, by Bendis, where Peter and Miles meet up and team up, is based almost exactly on the idea that the 616 Mysterio finds a portal to the Ultimate Universe and tries to be a hero there, only to fail. This seems.....somewhat similar. If they are introducing the multiverse, that could be a way to get Miles in to the MCU, as well as a way to recast or even bring back dead characters, by having them be alt. versions of themselves. Teen Tony could show up at any point now, leading to a version of Avengers: The Crossing, which was a Kang story... And The Avengers just played with time, which most certainly drew the attention of Kang. I'm really counting on him as a big villain in Phase 4. Calling it now too, that isn't Nick Fury. The real Fury wouldn't trust Mysterio as far as he could throw him. He certainly wouldn't encourage a teenage superhero to reveal his identity to him right away. It looks like all that stuff Feige has been saying about Captain Marvel becoming the centerpiece of the post-Downey MCU isn't as cut and dry as he made it seem. This makes it pretty obvious that it'll be Spider-Man, as it should be. Carol can have space, but Spidey is Marvel's number one earth based hero. I hope they lean into that. Lastly, there's something really amusing about Tom Holland of all people giving a spoiler warning.

The last time Fury trusted someone he lost an eye. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}That someone was an alien cat but still.

I smell a Mysterio-shaped rat, in that multiverse explanation. But if he's conning Fury, he must be very good at it, and pretty ballsy. I'll be really interested to see how he's pulling it all off.
Michelle figuring out that Peter is Spider-Man? I hope that's not a fake out, because I like the idea of someone being smart enough to notice that he disappears just before Spider-Man appears, to pick up on his skittishness and lame explanations, and not second guess themselves over it. As for adding Mary Jane or Gwen? Nah, been there, done that. If these movies are trying to do something new, then do something new.

I hope they don't wait for a new reboot to do a Miles Morales story. I'm totally down with having 2 Spidermen. That's it, really.

Feige calls this "the epilogue to Phase 3" and that trailer totally explains why. Definitely going to catch it in theaters.

In the Ultimate Universe, Peter told MJ he was Spider-man early on and it added a lot to the dynamic.

I've said since first trailer Elementals (and that's not supposed to be Hydroman right, just another Elemental right?) were a Mysterio ploy. Alternate dimension may be too, BUT in one book where Mysterio was from Ultimate universe, Pete&Miles met. Maybe a test run? Ultimate Mysterio and Regular Mysterio are the same person. I heard people call it Hydroman but I'm pretty sure it's meant to be the Elemental thing. My money is still on the dimensional travel being a lie to explain the Elementals which are his doing. but most importantly... FISHBOWL edit: Also with the personality she has I wouldn't be surprised if MJ is just f***ing with Peter... on the other hand I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't realize that Peter was Spider-man either.
