Neat I guess. The only screen Wonder Woman's watching is National Lampoon's Vacation, which actually came out in 1983. Maybe they're building to the New Year 1984.

Back from the dead? Hallucination? Magic? Out of all of those, the first is the most likely. In the comics, Aphrodite "resurrected" Steve, who went by a new alias (Steve Howard...I know, unique) for a brief period of time.

Back from the dead? Hallucination? Magic? It turns out that Steve Trevor was just an alias he went by. He's really just a kid from Brooklyn.......named Steve Rogers.

the first Wonder Woman was good and I'm sure this one will be as well. I'm just wondering if it's worth watching considering I have no idea what the DCEU even consists of anymore. Whether this film 'counts' or is a 'standalone' title. Whether it's set in the traditional DCEU or if this new unrelated bizarro world the Joker film will be set in. I'll probably watch it (guess I answered my own question) and enjoy the fight scenes, humor, and special effects, but I will also be scratching my head about the overall importance. I guess the MCU has set the bar so high in terms of storytelling, crossovers, and overall fan service that a WW sequel doesn't seem like a very big deal. I know, it's an action flick and I shouldn't be overthinking it.

It came out in theaters in '83, but it would have been on cable TV in '84. Back from the dead? Hallucination? Magic? In the old TV show, '40s Steve had an identical son also named Steve in the '70s. I don't know if they'd go that route now, but it wouldn't be unprecedented.

Everyone is talking about Steve, but how about that majestic gentleman in the shorts in the background?

Everyone knows that, at the start of the new year, we destroy everything that was created the year prior and never acknowledge it ever again.

Resurrected Steve isn't going to cockblock Bruce is he? If we're allowing BATMAN V SUPERMAN to exist, Bruce was roughly 10 years old when the film EXCALIBUR was released (which was in 1981). So he's 13 when the events of WW1984 take place.
