I feel dread for this season because I really don't want to see Rick killed off. I just can't see them going any other way about it. Either he gets a head on a stick of some other awful death.
The big question is what is to be done with Negan then? Does him and Daryl do the Rick/Negan stuff from the comics?

The San Diego Comi Con Trailer..
Actually looks pretty good.
A nice Whisperer teaser at the end.. If you listen carefully I'm pretty sure you can hear them say "Where are they?"

I think this trailer looks better than the one used for Season 8 last year at SDCC, and Andrew Lincoln's departure confirmed, wow it's been a ride with Walking Dead and even though it's dipped a bit in quality IMO, I'm still going to see the shows to the end.

Not to happy about Rick being killed off truth be told..
I mean, sure if Andrew Lincoln wants out then I guess he has a right to do so.
Still, I wonder if they will regret killing Carl off last season.

It did nothing for the season and took out a major character when he had his defining arc coming back
If they would have killed Carl two years ago fine but a year before he has his moment was just tone deaf on their part

Rick is so getting piked in episode 8, Just like the Carl episode if they dedicate a whole episode to Rick dying I may not watch it We all knows Lincoln is leaving now that it’s confirmed so don’t drag out his death. If he’s a head on a pike then let that be the last image before the mid season finale and we start fresh for 2nd half with the fall out

Walking Dead really dipped in quality after Negan's debut and who he chose to give the Lucille treatment. I've always felt Walking Dead could've used the writers and producers behind shows like Breaking Bad, The Shield, and Sons of Anarchy who knew how to keep the fans interested and invested by capitalizing on the momentum of unpredictable, insane, and exciting moments.
Once Negan made his picks it seemed like "Well, what now?" Their biggest mistake was actually not following the comics and maybe using Negan's moment as a way to build tension between Rick and Maggie from the beginning, Negan's first visit to Alexandria should've been the next episode, and maybe afterwards that King Ezekiel episode could've followed.

I still think in these later seasons since Negan introduction the Walking Dead could have used the HBO treatment in terms of 10 highly produced episodes with minimal filler that would keep the fans hooked and eliminate the Tara solo episodes

Scott Gimple is a piece of shit While i concur, whats he done now to excite this statement? Blindsided Chandler Riggs, who was assured of certain safety on the show to the point where he bought a house near the filming site, by being the one to decide that he was dying. Furthermore, eliminating the possibility of Carl carrying on Rick's legacy in the event that Rick would die. Gimple has completely ruined the show. Bad writing had made it dip in quality recently, but he is sole culprit in destroying what was left

Compelling storylines, interesting characters, creative plot twists. But Gimple is killing that show now that he's got TWD on life support. f*** that guy.
