Eh, I'm still sticking with Sony. They have given me far better game choices than the other two. Granted, I'm not buying a PS3 anytime soon, but I'd rather stop playing games before I get a MS system.
This is not me being a stupid fanboy, it's just that Sony has always treated me right and MS has always been about graphics (not that important to me) & bland games that play to average American taste (Shooters & Sports).
I'll be waiting a year or two before I even dare think about buying a PS3, due to price and game selection. As a side note, the Wii does look good though.

Halo came up a couple pages ago, let me just say one thing
Most over-rated franchise ever, I 100000% agree. All the online mode is is a bunch of 12 year old brats and jobless 30 year old losers who run for the sniper rifle and hide and just shoot you in the head over and over and over and over because its the only thing that makes them feel like life is worth living. No thanks. I prefer to play games with more depth than one monotonous task that a chimpanzee could probably emulate over time.

I dont get the high praise for Halo.
I admit it's pretty good but I've played better, it's a shame this gets constant praise yet great games like "Condemned: Criminal Origins" is totally ignored

Its kinda fun, but the limited amount of weaponry (Pipes, shovels, axes, 2x4's, and variations on those is about at, as far as melee weapons) and the moronic fact that you cannot reload a firearm or carry a gun and a melee weapon at the same time bring the score down a bit for me, but its still enjoyable. Sadly in today's ADD world, if a game doesnt have 327895 player online multiplayer, it doesnt matter, because no one gives a damn about a compelling single player experience anymore.

F.E.A.R I felt had a very compelling single player experience with only a marginally okay multiplayer. I already beat it on the PC and i'm getting it for the 360 because it A) works better on that than my laptop and B) had a good single player experience.

the first halo is the one people should be praising. when that game came out, it delivered an amazing co-op multiplayer experience to a home console (solid storyline, solid gameplay.) Halo 2, however, was nothing more than a flim flam scam of a sham intended to deliver microsoft and bungie's power play: online halo. To this day, I still find it apalling that halo 2 is such a big hit on xbox live without what should have been there from day one: ONLINE CO-OP.

Someone needs to photoshop that picture of "Virgil: Wrestling Superstar" and put a PS3 there instead.

I'd like to say a few things:
I used to be a huge Sony fan, and was defending it even in the face of the XBox. I didn't care much for what Microsoft said from the outset that the Box would run everything in your household. That kinda worried me back then. But after all of the arrogance that Sony was throwing out about PS3, and after making so many promises about releasing a HDD for PS2 that would revolutionalize their games, and not making it into jack, I soured on them fast. I still have a PS2, and I like it, and play it more than the XBox I have, but that's mostly out of necessity. I like the controllers better, and there has yet to be an overly decent wrestling game for the XBox. Now, that's starting to change with the 360. Honestly, I'd rather have a Wii and a 360 than a PS3 at this point.
As for Nintendo, I think a lot of people are rooting for them because they're in the underdog position, and don't want to see them go the way of Sega. Really, Sega's been hurting for quality games, and I'd hate the idea of playing a Mario game on another system. It's just not the same.
And yes, Bioshock looks incredibly fun and screwed up.

Losing MGS4 as an exclusive would be a major blow to PS3. They've already lost Virtua Fighter 5 and now this. With the crappy BC issues & loss of exclusive titles...things don't look so good for the PS3.
I'm just glad I didn't shell out $600.00 for this and stuck with my 360.

Not to mention they already lost exclusivity on Assassan's Creed, if we ever see a Jade Empire 2 or a KOTOR 3, 360 is the likely home for that, I really dont see any need for a PS3. If I feel the need to watch HD-DVD, well, there's a $200 adapter for the 360 that'll do just that, which is EXACTLY what PS3 should've done instead of forcing Blu-Ray on the consumer! idiots.

This is not me being a stupid fanboy, it's just that Sony has always treated me right and MS has always been about graphics (not that important to me) & bland games that play to average American taste (Shooters & Sports). Mind you, I own a PS2. I had a PS1. But I'm just wondering ... PS2's history: Launch shortages that rival PS3/Wii. HORRIBLE choice of games at launch, with no AAA titles for MONTHS. Mechanical problems with about half the launch systems. DVD incompatibilities that forced driver updates. PS1/2 memory cards not compatible. Money-making, popular franchises like the 989 Sports series, Crash Bandicoot and Twisted Metal left for dead. Then we have the litany of PS3 hug-ups that need not be listed. Exactly HOW has Sony been good to you? Jed Shaffer ~Like I said ... longtime Sony backer ... but I know when I'm being bent over.

Dont forget the legions of pissed off PSP gamers who bought their system launch day to find the screen filled with dead pixels (Luckily thats when I bought mine and I've never seen one) and Sony couldnt care less

Technical glitches galore, backwards compatibility that isn't 100% after all, questionable launch titles (better then PS2, but still), and an insane price tag that puts out all but the most hardcore of gamers. Oh, and, thanks to hardware issues, a shortage of systems available for purchase so large, it inspires riots, muggings, price gouging and a death or two.
Jed Shaffer ~And for that Sony, we love you. Like we love smallpox.

but not every console is perfect.
x-box 360 has had its share of tech issues, and its not 100% backwards compatible either

Like we love smallpox. To ellborate on the tech issues, the demo unit at Best Buy overheats/freezes/crashes at least 3 times a day. I always leave it froze like that for all the customers to see so they can see that Sony quality hard at work.

but not every console is perfect. Well I've gotten the following systems on or soon after launch NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP, N64, Sega Genesis, Sega Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, PSP, X-Box, X-Box 360, Atari Lynx The following systems stopped working for no reason, despite me taking perfect care of them PS1, PS2 Yeah.

What I am saying is that with some people, sony can do no right, yet MS and Nintendo can seem to do no wrong.
