IDK I think the Nets should stick with what they started building and fit in pieces around that. Letting Russel go for Kyrie feels like a bad idea. We already saw how Kyrie as the leader of a young team goes lol.

I'm still mad the Hornets did this and missed the playoffs anyway lol. What a year for buzzer beaters between this, Kawhi against Philly and Dame against OKC.

D'Lo has finally morphed into an All Star and has the potential to be a superstar and this team had a real good chemistry last year. Majority of the same pieces are returning

Russel is 4 years younger with less injury history. Kyrie is obviously the better player right now but I'll roll the dice on Russel's long term potential and existing chemistry with the team.

And the ultimate thing is, replacing D'Lo with Kyrie doesn't make them a championship team. Hell, they plan to go after a 2nd star but with KD and Klay off the table, even with Jimmy Butler you're overpaying somebody else to get a max player Imo I think the Nets need to resign D'Lo and get a Tobias Harris. You probably have to overpay the max for him but I think he fits this team really well and Nets already have a good all around team. If D'Lo can step his game up again this year, you're looking at a potential 25 PPG scorer and Harris can put up 20 himself. I could be wrong but I feel like if they let D'Lo go for Kyrie and if they don't get KD or Klay, they are potentially wiping away the good they have done over last few years. However, in saying that Sean Marks has done a damn good job as GM so he's earned the benefit of doubt in the moves he will make As I said before, if D'Lo leaves I think he's going to Phoenix with Booker which makes them real interesting with Booker and Ayton already. Add on them being able to trade that number 6 pick for someone significant as well

This may be unbelievable, but in Canada, Game 6 of the NBA Finals was the most watched NBA game ever in NBA history and was the most English language broadcast in three years with 7.7 million viewers

So.....who here is going to the parade on Monday? If you do, please tell us your experience I'll definitely be there. In regards to first-hand experiences, I was at Jurassic Park for Game 6 and the immediate aftermath with all celebrations. It was unlike anything I've ever experienced. People high-fiving each other, cars honking in celebration, streets flooded with fans. This was my "Blue Jays win World Series in 1992".

More often than not, he's injured in May.

Yeah, sounds like a fair deal to me. Pelicans get some young cats to build around, Lebron gets his superstar, we keep Kuzma. Exactly the kind of deal you’d want with the Lakers in “win now” mode with Lebron about to exit his prime

Even as a Raptors fan, you gave up too much.

So Pelicans get Ball, Hart, Ingram and likely either Hunter or Culver plus two more picks. I think initially both teams will be happy. But I also think if the Lakers don't win next year things will get really ugly real quick.
I also think getting Lonzo out of LA is best for him. Was he overrated as a prospect? Yes. But I think LA was the wrong place for him. In New Orleans he can focus on being part of project and not being the centerpiece. Of course, I'm also not as high on Ball and Ingram as others are but whatevs

I’m pissed NOLA didn’t also get Kuzma.

Actually per Woj teams are now calling the Pelicans about the 4th pick so the pmdeak could get even sweeter for New Orleans
