I took a few months off after making it from 1995 to early 1999. Picked up in the last month or so. Currently in March 2000.
The Radicalz are just getting started and it's a little hard to watch the Benoit stuff, but I'm doing okay so far.
One thing I've noticed is there's a hell of a lot of cage matches. And that the cage is pretty small compared to today, and even in 2006 and on, when I really started watching.
They've seemingly given up on the Women's Title again. Jacqueline won it from Harvey Wimpleman and basically disappeared.
The Dudleys just picked up the tag titles and Bubba dropped the stuttering, his powerbomb on Mae was better than the one on Terri, Mae took it like a goddamn champ.
Triple H is absolutely killing it in the ring.

You're just getting into what, for my money, is the absolute best year in WWF history. Benoit obviously colours it negatively, but seriously, you are going to get a whole string of phenomenal shows. Weirdly the Mania that year isn't well-regarded, when almost every other PPV really is.

The Triangle Ladder Match was easily the best thing on the show. After that, I dunno, Al Snow beating up the man dressed like cheese, I guess...

Big Show has gone full local. He's wearing a fedora and gold chains.

Loved this.
Edge and Christian are on commentary, Christian goes, "Well, we're here to watch and if Road Dogg looks like he's gonna win, we're going to jump in and make him lose."
"Yeah, in wrestling circles, it's called a Run-In."
"Kinda blunt there boys."

2000 is my favourite year in wrestling ever. Rock and Triple H are perfect individually and especially together and everybody top to bottom has a meaningful role.

Backlash was a strong show, Dean Malenko was so awesome. He was too far ahead of his time.
I'm on Judgement Day now, Angle's joined E & C, pretty excited about it.

Malenko gets that match over through sheer hard work. The fans pop for the Worm, and I think that's only at the halfway mark. The fans are dead a first but build and are captivated by the end, with a phenomenal closing spot. I think that match was a masterpiece. You should check out some of Dean's ECW/WCW stuff. His ring work is really extraordinary. And you're correct that he was ahead of his time, a few years later he'd have been a long-reigning ROH champion.

I was always let down by how Malenko basically stalled in WWF after he crushed it with Liger and Jericho in WCW.

American Bad Ass was edited out of Judgement Day.
Kind of hurts the return for Undertaker, they could've subbed in another actual theme.

American Bad Ass was edited out of Judgement Day. Kind of hurts the return for Undertaker, they could've subbed in another actual theme. Could've just thrown in Rollin, That wouldn't work at all for the same reason they don't have 'American Bad Ass.' These are songs that cost money to get the rights for. And Limp Bizkit's worldwide sales almost double Kid Rock's, so 'Rollin' would be even more expensive than 'American Bad Ass' was.

"Rollin'" is not edited on the Network in Undertaker's Dec. 2000 - May 2002 matches.
