Not really, plus they were both Puerto Rican, not Spanish. If you worked on that theory then you'd say every rapper now is just cashing in on the 'Gangster Image' of the 1990s, with that kind of logic you could say Zach De La Rocha impersonates Chuck D and Bob Marley

I can't say he wouldn't have been famous, but he was clearly not in the same ballpark as Big Pun when it came to skill.

Well Fat Joe WAS rapping before he met pun. He was a member of the DITC (Digging in the crates) crew.
I doubt he would be famous as he is now, but he would still be known by those into hip hop
