I find it odd that she is aggressively fighting him on this but said she wanted nothing from the Gawker settlement because it's dirty money to her. Presumably any money Hogan is supposedly hiding is business dealings originated from what he got in court. Her opinion on that money likely changed when the alimony money she was used to dried up as Hogan's income shrivelled in recent years. Had she accepted a set figure per month, she'd be fine even if he wasn't, but 40% of nothing, is nothing so here come the lawyers.

I remember hearing that William Shatner had a divorce settlement with his first wife that entitled her to a big percentage of his future earnings too. He was basically unemployed after Star Trek but she took him to court over it because she wasn’t getting money from him. I can’t remember how he got out of that whole situation though. I don’t know why there are celebrities that agree to these types of arrangements. A breakup shouldn’t entitle someone to an annuity jackpot.

Cleese really got screwed there, but at least he was done paying her after seven years and I have to think that Linda has gotten close to $20 million once you include the property and assets. Also he had a great quote in this piece, "Apparently I got off lightly because my lawyer points out how much more I would have had to pay my ex-wife had she contributed anything to the relationship... if we had children, or even a two-way conversation."
