I’ve been thinking of getting this Tales of Terror 200 Horror Movie Collection. Anyone have it? It’s Mills Creek so I know what to expect, but it looks like they dug pretty deep for this one and have some stuff I haven’t seen elsewhere in it.

It has cinematic greats, and obscurities. That made me laugh.

200 movies (even if they're bad public domain prints) for $20 is a pretty great deal. There's one that has something like 500 public domain cartoons.

Most everything on here has been on a hundred other public domain sets, and the quality of most of them is craptacular. Not sure why they felt obliged to include half a dozen Bulldog Drummond movies outside of padding space. Those are about as "un-terror" as it gets. For cheap, it's a good deal for sure but it's not great stuff. 200 movies (even if they're bad public domain prints) for $20 is a pretty great deal. There's one that has something like 500 public domain cartoons. I have the Cartoon 500 one and it's a mixed bag. It introduced me to Colonel Bleep, one of the first TV cartoons ever, and it's amazing and great, but it also has weird European cartoons that don't really fit the theme, and it includes a lot of crappy live-action Christmas one-reelers.

Here's a 600 cartoon collection from Mill Creek that I so happen to have.

Biggest thing I own is (was) a full Godzilla set of movies from the first thru Final Wars.
Has something like the Simpsons ever done a "here's everything" set? Or is it only single seasons.

Outside of budget releases that include like 50 or 100 movies/shorts, one of the bigger licensed releases I've seen has got to be the Zatoichi set from Criterion. 26 fully remastered movies, and it's just a monster of a set.

Every episode of Dark Shadows was released in a box set a few years back. It’s 130 DVDs.

Criterion just announced a new 39 film Ingmar Bergman set in November that also includes 30 hours of bonus features and a 250 page book of essays.

Every episode of Dark Shadows was released in a box set a few years back. It’s 130 DVDs. Speaking of complete sets, on the wrestling side of things Bill Watts’ old UWF promotion released all the shows they ever recorded. They used to sell it online before th rights were sold to WWE. I think it was over 100 DVDs and if you bought them all at once it was priced at over $1,000.

I own that set, its quite impressive as its all packed into a coffin shaped box (which weighs a ton),close to 1300 episodes and a billion extras, only thing i didnt get was the barnabas signed picture. Cost a fortune but well worth it in my book! I have the i love lucy set, the ninja turtles 80s animation set in the turtle van, and all the star trek sets so i collect quite a lot of bigger box sets

Hey, I have that one! Such great movies, my dad and I used to watch all kinds of Samurai movies when I was a kid. Good times.

Biggest in my collection are a bunch of sets that are complete runs of shows. Stuff like Sabrina the Teenage Witch Married with Children-The later Mill Creek version. Reno 911 The Shield
My family went together and got my aunt that Dark Shadows set. She got it the Xmas after it came out and is still maybe a 4th of the way thru it.

Is there a list of the movies of this 200-movie set? The original post had a link to the set. There is a picture of the list. (Two pages) I have seen twenty eight of the movies on that list. And I'd say the entire price is justified by the inclusion of "Bloody Pit of Horror"
