After this decade is done and dusted what will this decade be called? The 1920s were famously called the Roaring twenties, as were the Swinging Sixties.
What they might use is slang for 2000s which is "the noughties". Anyone heard of that? Anyway, it should be a word that can sum up the whole decade. So give some suggestions, serious or non-serious.
I think this decade should be called the s*utty noughties, because it's fashionionable to dress and act like a one these days. look at the music videos and real life, too many women wearing what looks their wearing dental floss for underwear.

How did they solve the problem in the early 20th century? They had the bloodiest war in history (up to that point) so that anything before 1914 could be referred to as pre-war. Um, never mind.

The Terrible 2000s. But when 2010 rolls around, we'll probably be watching the debut of I Love the 2000s on VH-1.

In the UK, we saw i love the 90s programme, and which was too early, so we were watching a "nostalgic" we love 1999 programme 2-3 years after the actual year. Thats just not right... It's 10 years later when a year becomes "nostalgic".
