That was a very...odd...trailer. Not the movie clips itself, the way they put it together I mean. The music and tone seemed a bit out of place.

I appreciate the music and the tone of it. It seems like someone in charge of marketing went "ya know there's a lot of beautiful shots" and chose to showcase it like so. Definitely seems like an IMAX watch.
I hope the centralized family story isn't too cheesy.

Absolutely loved this trailer. It looks wonderfully shot, I'm glad we don't see too too much of the monsters. Rodan is the one we saw the most, but they were some good shots.
I honestly find it funny that people complain at all about the human side of the story. The human story is always the weakest point for any of the Godzilla movies. To me, it's almost as synonymous with Godzilla as the silly dubbing is.

Absoloutley f***ing gorgeous...that shot of Mothra seems like something they will absoloutley use to entice people to the Imax version of this movie.
Now they just have to minimalize the humans and let the monsters wreck everything and profit.

Honestly didn't dig the trailer, but it's a trailer. There will be another one or two to better showcase certain things, and I have more confidence in this film than I did its predecessor (which I overall enjoyed). Plus there are a ton of rumors regarding other "purchases" by Legendary that we could see pay off by the end of this one.

Hot damn that looks awesome. Wasn't expecting a Friday Night Lights/Stranger Things/Godzilla crossover but I'm here for it.

1. Sort of dumb how they call them "Titans" in the movie but the title of the movie itself calls them "Monsters" 2. You can say "Goddamn" in standard trailers now?

I marked like a madman at the sight of Mothra, Rodan, and Gidorrah.
Now will it live up to my expectations? Who knows. All I know is that I'll be watching this grown man style. Intoxicated.

The music seemed too...optimistic? That's the best word I can come up for it. A little too much Spielbergian Wonder and Whimsy to it in light of being set against scenes of mass destruction and impending apocalypse.

I guess they’re trying to go for a sense of “have hope, because even though things look bad, humanity is going to make it”. The scenes of devastation and emotion clash badly with the score though so it just seems weird. Ghidorah looks utterly gorgeous, I’ll say that much.

I guess they're trying to build off of the first movie establishing Godzilla as a balancing force and not an evil dedtructive monster, hence this trailer's tone?

And I think it's for the best, honestly. It doesn't paint Godzilla as an evil entity (thus even kids can root for him and can be used more as the "megazord" to the humans power ranges) and it doesn't paint it as the 70's kid-friendly Godzilla that a vocal part of the fanbase doesn't like.

Even if the story ends up being ass atleast visually this movie is going to be absoloutley gorgeous I love the use of colors for each individual monster but especially for Mothra
