Another stellar episode tonight although a step down from last week but that is unfair since last weeks episode was a conclusion to an arc and this episode was the begging to setting up alot of the preverbial new dominos to be knocked down as the season goes on.
It was spoiled for me a little ways back but still loved the reveal of the imposter green arrow and cannot wait for Olivers reaction.
I know I am letting myself down by just holding out hope...but please oh please just let Felicity fall further and further down her rabbit hole untill Oliver is no longer in love with her snd finally finishes with her.
Diggle and Lyla keeping that secret from Oliver....seriously Dig I thought you better than this man after all the shit you went through with Oliver last season.

Good grief, I thought Diaz was killed at the end of that last episode only to see him pop back up tonight. Get this guy off the show. It's not like he has any heat or anyone cares. He's the Baron Corbin of the DC/CW Universe. He's the lamest heel on a show since Christopher Pelant on Bones.
I'm kinda lost as to what is going on right now on Arrow. All of this future stuff...what is it? What is it leading to?

One would think Diggle would learn his damn lesson because he is doing exactly what lead to the above throw down last season between he and Oliver.
Although I still lowkey mark out for the supreme burn of..."atleast my trail of bodies doesn't include my own brother"

A far better return for Arrow than it was for Flash
They dropped every single bit of info they could on imposter green arrow in a hilarious instaneous they find the dna and then get the match all in the span of like a minute...pretty sure it takes a bit longer than that.
The future scenes get more and more interesting...future Renee WHAT IS THAT THING ON YOUR HEAD! and sir you are one piece of shiiiiiitttt lucky this is only a possible future and not something set in stone because I would hate to have to hate Renee again like I did last season.
Even the argus stuff is picking up now....and this show is not subtle with all the red hearings they are throwing out as to who Diaz is gonna kill before this is all over....dude has a serious fetish for targeting Married women.

Future Rene's hair, no! Legends, Team Flash, and Team Arrow, put aside your current issues to convince Rene to never let that happen.

It is finale season which means I get to ressurect the DC threads yay me.
Raved about the first half of the season , everything in the prison was the best Arrow since season 5.
Middle of the season I pretty much threw my hands up with all Felicity and left
Came back in the back half and what ya know like most seasons it is better than the lingering middle portion
idk how they plan to redeem Emiko at this point...because Oliver having to kill his own half sister would put him in a place he cannot come back from...but again HOW DO U REDEEM A WOMAN WHO DROPPED A GAWD DAMN BUILDING ON YOU!
Loved having Tommy back and the twist on that in the episode.

Haven’t seen last nights episode yet, should be up on Space On Demand when I get home, but I agree with your assessment. First but awesome, middle meandering but not too bad, back third awesome again.
Plus, you can really feel this shows winding down. It feels like 7.5 seasons coming to a close.

I gave up on Arrow. I'll try to catch up when the season is on Netflix, maybe, but I honestly don't even miss it. I hate that I don't miss it, but I don't at all.

Oh yea going into the finale it definetly feels less conclusive it doesn't feel quite like the end of a season but setting up to continue into the next.
because once the next season kicks off it is Crisis right from the go to Arrow's end so gonna be real interesting to see how this finale leads into that.
And only 10 episodes to do it in..they have alot of pieces to this puzzle yet to fall into place.

I just do not like Diaz and don't find him to be an interesting or tolerable villain at all. I liked the beginning part of this season, with Oliver in prison, but it's like this show wants to be about anything other than the Green Arrow and I think it suffers for it mightily. I just don't care about all the others the way I care about Oliver and Felicity. The show made Dinah, Rene and Curtis nearly irredeemable for me, and I still can't watch Diggle the same way. Plus I can't be bothered with Emiko. All she does is make me miss Thea.

Season 6 is rough for that first half...of which only the DeathStroke stuff is worth your time...because ya know gawd damn Deathstroke an all. But they came off the huge cliffhanger of the island and did nothing with it And then make it worse by bigging up a certain villan for S6...only to well you will see if u get through it.

Season 6 was atrocious because of the contrived plots and the absolutely atrocious villains, but Season 7 is currently a lot better. Not quite as good as Season 5, but then Prometheus was such a wonderful and personal villain.
Emiko is ending up being a good character in the comics, though she's ending up quite the departure from her comic self. Granted the comics don't have Thea, as she's an original creation of the show. I don't know if Emiko can be redeemed, but then they also found ways for Oliver to make peace with Black Siren, Deathstroke, and even Malcolm freakin' Merlyn. So who knows?

The only way I can see Emiko being redeemed and really it is the only way...is if her being the leader of the 9th circle leads into the reveal of the real leader showing up in the finale and killing a main cast member and we get confirmation that the real leader twisted Emiko's mind into doing what she has been doing.
But if there is no twist like that...then there is no redemption and that sucks because with no Thea I was really wanting her to fill that role.

It was a good season finale and in a lot of ways it felt like an early series finale since the show as we've known it for the last 7 years is done. Emiko's redemption felt rushed, but her final moments with Oliver were still heartbreaking. A shame she couldn't have stuck around as a part of Team Arrow for the Crisis.
So I have to guess we're going to have two main stories for the last season of Arrow: the Monitor and Oliver preparing for the Crisis, and whatever the rest of Team Arrow is doing back on Earth-1 less Felicity. There's also been a lot of hints dropped by the show and by David Ramsey on social media about Diggle becoming a Green Lantern (likely with General Stewart being his true birth father; thus he'd really be John Stewart). Whether David gets his own show or if it's just for the Crisis, we'll have to see. It is a shame that Emily Bett Rickards won't be in the regular cast of Season 8. I do hope she'll at least be in the series finale or one of the non-Arrow Crisis episodes. Olicity hasn't been the easiest ship to like, but I like Emily a lot and I'll miss her character at her best. It's rare seeing visible Jewish representation in superhero shows without falling into tired cliches and stereotypes and Felicity was one along with Martin Stein and Ragman. As Kate Kane is Jewish in the DC comics, I do hope they play up that part of her character in the upcoming Batwoman show. Though I wonder where Future Felicity went with The Monitor.

I have to believe something tonight wont stick as it is because if they stick to this exact path than there is nothing really surprising when Crisis rolls around and I highly doubt they wanna be that predictable with something this moneumental. A few examples Oliver does not infact die but is off somewhere else doing who knows what Diggle dies Bronze tiger dies the rest of team arrow come out unscathed Crisis is gonna change somethings we saw tonight which IMO is why we got to see the ending we got tonight....we got to see this happy ending with Felicity going off to presumeably see Oliver after however many years.
