Sorry for the lateness.
1. San Diego Chargers - San Diego didn't need LaDamian Tomlinson to win and they proved that against the Seattle Seahawks.
2. Chicago Bears - With home field advantage in its back pocket, the Bears show no sign of resting when they beat up the Lions.
3. Baltimore Ravens - After beating up the resurging Steelers, the Ravens need one more win to clinch a bye week. As an extra bonus, if the Ravens win and the Chargers lose, Baltimore will have home field advantage throughout the AFC Playoffs.
4. Indianapolis Colts - The Colts were looking at a bye week for the playoffs, however a pathetic lost to Houston may force them play in a AFC Wild Card game.
5. New England Patriots - The Patriots have no shot at getting the bye week, but have clinched at least a home game in the Wild Card.
6. New Orleans Saints - After a bad loss to the Redskins, analysts thought they would have a tough challenge against the Giants. They didn't in a 30-7 beatdown.
7. Philadelphia Eagles - While the Eagles were given a playoff birth and an almost assured NFC East Division for Christmas, Donovan McNabb and Jeff Garcia (two QBs with whom Terrell Owens thought he was better than) got the extra bonus in the knowledge that this season, they made TO look like a damn fool.
8. Denver Broncos - Jay Cutler had started his first two game winning streak at the right time, making Mike Shanahan look smart in benching Jake Plummer and going to the rookie.
9. New York Jets - Next week, Eric Mangini will be able to make a case for Coach of the Year by bringing the Jets back from what was thought to be the end and made them a playoff contender.
10. Dallas Cowboys - The Cowboys have cost themselves a bye week and may have even cost themselves a home game and the NFC East Division. Why? Because the Cowboys were partying on Christmas Eve and on Christmas, when they expected presents, Santa Garcia gave them coal instead.
11. Tennessee Titans - Vince Young has made his case for rookie of the year by giving the Titans a very good shot at making the playoffs.
12. Cincinnati Bengals - The Bengals may have lost their shot at the playoffs thanks to a choking loss to the Denver Broncos.
13. Kansas City Chiefs - The Chiefs beat the Raiders very badily on Saturday Night, but they need a loss from Denver, Tennessee, and Cincinatti to clinch a playoff birth...Oh and they need to beat Jacksonville
14. Seattle Seahawks - Even though they suffered a tough loss to San Diego, Seattle was still able to clinch the NFC West Division and a guarenteed home game in the Wild Card.
15. Jacksonville Jaguars - Jacksonville is not eliminated, but they are in life support and a win from either Denver, Tennessee, Cincinnati, or Kansas City will end it all.
16. New York Giants - The Giants may have suffered an embarressing loss to the Saints in Tiki Barber's final home game, but there are two bits of good news. They are one win away from clinching and due to several teams losing, they move up in my rankings despite the loss.
17. Pittsburgh Steelers - The Steelers are officially done after getting beatdown again by the Baltimore Ravens.
18. Carolina Panthers - Good news for the Panthers, they still have a shot at the playoff, but they need losses from the Giants and the Packers plus a win against the Saints to clinch.
19. St. Louis Rams - The Rams are still in the hunt after beating the on-again, off-again Washington Redskins.
20. Buffalo Bills - The Bills playoff dreams ended when they were beaten by the upstart Tennessee Titans.
21. Green Bay Packers - I know people will disagree with this as the Packers can clinch a playoff spot ahead of both Carolina and St. Louis due to being in at the right place at the right time. However, with losses to St. Louis and Buffalo and the fact that Carolina beat St. Louis, Green Bay is stuck at #21 in an extremely tough call.
22. Atlanta Falcons - Atlanta was looking forward to winning this game and the chance to gain a playoff spot, they lost to the Panthers. This situation presents good news and bad news. The Good News is....the Falcons still have a shot at the playoffs. The Bad News is......not only do they need to beat the Philadelphia Eagles, but they need to hope for the Giants, Packers, Panthers, and Rams to all lose.
23. Miami Dolphins - The Miami Dolphins are finished and so is Joey Harrington's dream comeback, as he was benched for a guy with the last name of Lemmon.
24. San Francisco 49ers - The Niners eliminated themselves by watching too much of the Seahawks-Chargers game and not bothering to play the Arizona Cardinals, who beat them.
25. Minnesota Vikings - The Vikings are finished, but they have a chance to play spoiler to the St. Louis Rams.
26. Arizona Cardinals - The Cardinals played spoilers to the 49ers, but it may be too late for coach Dennis Green to save his head coaching job.
27. Washington Redskins - Another overrated year for the Redskins ends in dissapointment. Living in Virginia and having them as a home team, this is not anything new.
28. Houston Texans - The Texans have some good news, they were able to do what they wanted to do when drafting Mario Williams, they beat Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts.
29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - With their third QB and a lost season, Tampa Bay was able to beat the equally bad Cleveland Browns.
30. Cleveland Browns - The Browns drop a few spots after losing to the Buccaneers.
31. Oakland Raiders - I can almost say that Art Shell is finished. Im just waiting for the official statement to be released.
32. Detroit Lions - Another walkout by the Lions ends in another loss for the Lions, this time against Chicago. Somebody better fire Millen.
