This is a very interesting contrast between AJ's feud with Nakamura. That feud, you sort of HAD to know their history to fully get it because WWE did very little with that feud going into Mania. The lack of any real face/heel dynamic made the feud suffer. AJ and Joe have a very very clear dynamic. We know why Joe is going after AJ. Knowing their history helps, but if you don't know their history, you know what these 2 are about and can follow this feud.

Another great thing of this promo is Joe's is basically "Hey. I don't have a family to stand in the way of my dreams. That belt is all I got." So many levels.

Joe legit might be the best promo in WWE right now. I don't know if he gets to write his own promos or is just that good at making scripted material sound natural, but the guy is just on right now. They are probably giving him stuff to say, but he's saying it like he would say it, as opposed to delivering it as it is on the paper. |

It's amazing how convincing and intimidating he is, especially in an era where kayfabe has been shot, buried, and had its grave pissed on. Like, despite knowing how chill he is in real life, that promo was so convincing that I'd be genuinely afraid of ever running into this guy in a dark alley. He's that good.

Joe has to win the title from Styles and have a good long reign. I'd love to see Joe make it to WM with the title to face Bryan. Would be some good stuff. Wr said this about Shin. Not once. Not twice. But 5 times that he HAS to win and look what they did. I like Joe but I doubt this is happening |

Joe might lose but when I say he has to win I'm mentioning momentum. Nakamura's momentum was cut heavily with each loss and even now he's a shadow of a former main eventer. If Joe loses to Styles the same applies to him. He has to win here or his momentum will be cut. It's the same thing that happens when people face Roman and lose to him. |

I was getting into the Miz/Bryan cross promo until they shit on it with the baby bit.
But yeah Joe is great on the mic, you can easily buy that he means everything he says. Finally a Samoan I can get behind.
