Usually listening to some music, visiting a message forum such as this, or watching video game commentaries on YouTube. I went through a severe deep depression many years ago and at the time my outlet was writing lyrics. I had so much built up inside of me that I wrote pages upon pages of lyrics, journal entries, and after visiting a psychiatrist I didn't feel the need to write anymore.
Not to brag but I typically try not to allow myself to feel down. If I find that I am feeling that way I'll start thinking about others who have it worse or brush it off. We're human and none of us our perfect, nor are we happy 24/7 as life happens, disappointments occur, and we all experience sadness and anger in our lives. How we deal with it is what helps us cope with things I believe. But on my end, if I feel it trying to creep up on me, I'll quickly find a video game commentary, music, or anything comedic that uses self deprecating humor as a means to make light out of bad situations.
