Yeah. I did see that trailer before Rocky. I didn't laugh, but I did turn to my friend and say, "If Michael J. Fox isn't in it, there's no reason to see it."

What the f*** kind of title is "Blood and Chocolate"? That's like naming Frankenstein "Corpses and Lollipops".

Blood & Chocolate? Sounds like the foreign love story I saw in Spanish class.
Also, this is a forbidden love story? Looks like "Underworld: Romeo and Juliet" to me.

/\ that's pretty much it, minus William Shakespeare's hilarious sexual innuendos.

I'm going to see this anyway. I love crappy movies and if this ends up anything close to the horror that was Eragon it will be a blast.
Yep, now it's only Oscar Contenders or absolute crap for me.

Oh how bad was Eragon. That looked like a third rate knockoff of a cheap ripoff of Peter Jackson's crap after he ate the original script to Lord of the Rings.

Yeah, but the book was basically a LOTR rip off, so obviously the movie was going to come off like that. I thought eragon was okay. What? Just me?

To add more about Eragon I believe the movie kept the spirit of the books. It did nothing original and was deriative of all Epic films. It had crappy dialogue and the music... well I mentioned that in my rant.

Then it was published by a huge company, I can't ignore that. Anyone can write a book, the problem is that this high school creative writing exercise ended up on the national scene.

Anyone can write a book, the problem is that this high school creative writing exercise ended up on the national scene. I'm not disagreeing that it's a bad book. Heck, he only got it published because of his parents connections. But, for a 15 year old, it was very good. If he's still writing stuff like this when he's 30 then that's a different story. EDIT: how old is the writer now anyway?

Then he published one at 21 and it wasn't much different. Let's not talk about how better he can get until this third one comes out. Something tell's me he's content writing the drivel he is writing right now. As it stands the book should not have been published, it wasn't quality. Though I don't think that is the issue here. Obviously that previous statement is wrong, it SHOULD have been published because it's made a ton of money.
What I think is sad is that the market doesn't seem to care about quality or originality. It doesn't have to offer something new or even be good writing. If it has all of their fantasies in it it will be bought. Look at Harry Potter as well. The only difference is that Harry Potter is still somewhat original, and better written. But this is off topic isn't it?
Ah well...
EDIT: He's 23 now.

My friend was telling me about how he was reading about Eregon and realised it is Star Wars with dragons. Yeah, I'm 17 and mine is FAR more original. If you can look past a lot of the MGS stuff. At least I don't lie and PRETEND like it's not there.
