I was thinking winner-takes-all WarGames too. They'll really have to stretch it out, as we're 12 weeks away.

Ciampa went full Ric Flair and did the Project Ciampa to a sign. Good lord. Yeah, he's pretty much cemented himself as my top guy

I guess all those guys will be the WarGames match this year. Is Fish healthy enough to go? If not that would leave Ricochet needing two to combat BSS and UE and keep with the setup from last year.

To hazard a guess at the Takeover card this far out...
WarGames: Undisputed Era v British Strong Style v War Raiders/Ricochet NXT Championship Match: Ciampa v Black (if fit, otherwise... ?) NXT Women’s Championship Match: Sane v Belair (only because the Sane v Baszler rematch will probably happen at Evolution) EC3 v Sullivan Ohno v Riddle

They really should've just had Gargano win the belt at Takeover and ended the storyline there. SO sick of shit being dragged out entirely for the sake of it. Doesn't help that yeah, his character is a worthless failure at this point. Yeah, he puts on great matches but end of the day he's had the spotlight over and over again and only once has he done anything but choke. In that regard, he's the NXT Dolph Ziggler. This comparison is also the worst thing to happen to him during this entire taping.

LeRae’s gonna be making out with Ciampa by the end of the night at the rate things are going. By the end of things, her and Ciampa are gonna be having a live sex celebration on top of Gargano's unconscious body

They need to turn this Gargano thing around asap because he's gone from a guy you can feel sorry for to a straight loser. Like I wasn't on the "man this match ending f***ed up Gargano" thing that others said but they need to turn this around asap especially if that crowd's getting in his ass.

When they said they were going to have another War Games, all I really wanted was for War Raiders to be involved. I’m super stoked it looks to actually be happening.

Only way I see this working in their favor is if they do a storyline where Gargano admits he's failed, and vows that if he fails again, that's it for him, and all the while in addition to Ciampa, people like (well, obviously) Dream would call him out, and you build this up to Takeover: Brooklyn IV. Because if Gargano is a buffoon one more time after War Games, he's done.

And then cuts a promo about Rosa Parks or something. Building up to the second ever Concrete Crypt match with Candace inside, the match ends with Johnny winning then burying Candace in concrete anyways because she's a liability. Then Gargano trips again and falls into the concrete too. Afterwards Gargano has a 3rd redemption arc after the timekeeper starts calling him Johnny Cementface

He needs to enter his Sting Crowd phase and just stop all the talking and just needs to be about f***ing with Ciampa's mind and beating his ass from now on. He can keep theme, look and the fire but he needs to straight up start kicking his ass. Just let Gargano not try to reason with dude and just f*** with him like he's been f***ed with and win off that.

It's getting really, really hard to look past just how bad the actual storytelling is for this Gargano/Ciampa mess now. Like, oof. Just wait until Gargano accidentally hits Candace or some such, and eventually Tommy Dreamer passes the Torch to Gargano. It may just be because I don't really watch either, but I'm constantly confused on whether something happened in the Johnny Gargano saga or the Eddie Edwards saga in the last few months. The two angles couldn't possibly be less similar and yet they read almost exactly the same in parts.

Still, if he's going to be involved with the Undisputed Era vs. British Strong Style vs. Ricochet/War Raiders feud, this is going to make me actually use my Network subscription for once.

I feel like something that isn't being considered in the "Johnny Failure" line of thinking is that Black getting injured really changed up the story they were trying to tell and made them essentially have to skip a chapter. I heard that Johnny getting injured changed the outcome of the match as well is that true? If so then that further complicates things.
All I'm saying is that while they do need to figure something out to fix this mess sometimes things happen and plans change. Overall I have faith in NXT to fix it though they've more than earned that from me.

Gargano will be fine and have the belt sometime in the next 6 months.
