Hopefully Axel is doing better than Cody.
Yeah, I know Cody is Mayor of Metro City now but he went through a rough patch.

Adam, Skate and Max should be in it.

Not sure if it's too late for this considering the music I heard in the trailer, but I want Gecko Yamori to do the rest of the soundtrack.

Last Streets appearance was Axel as an assist character in Project X Zone 2

Shiva should turn face for this game and be a proper playable character.

There was a game on Genesis I remember, a beat'em up like Streets was were you got powerups during the level and turned into monsters like Werewolves and Dragons

Welp, I'm in.
Streets of Rage was one of the first favorites I had during the 16 bit era, and Streets of Rage 2 was one of the first games I ever spent a long time saving up money to buy new, and my brother, cousins, friends and I played the high holy hell out of it.
I'm kind of hoping it keeps the over the top 80s/early 90s aesthetic with the music and overall style, but just give me smooth, satisfying gameplay that captures the classic beat em up feel and I'll be sound as a pound.

I'll believe it's coming out when it's out. Like, I don't think it'll likely be cancelled, but I just... don't want my heart broken again.

I played the trilogy a ton, especially 2. Including with the Sega Vintage Collection.
So I'm most definitely interested in this. I hope it's not handhelds only or something, though, need a home console release.

But WHY are the Streets filled with Rage? Because the Final Fight wasn't so 'final' after all.

It's not 3D!!!! Thank goodness it's not 3D!!!!!!!! This trailer reminded me that I have Double Dragon Neon, but never got around to playing it. Also, I want to get Double Dragon IV. I don't care if snotty-nosed reviewers under the age of 20 think the gameplay is 'too repetitive'; I want old-school gameplay, and that includes a real challenge! I've said that Die Hard Arcade is Sega's unofficial sequel to Streets of Rage 3. I haven't actually played it, and although it is a 3D game, it seems to have gameplay that's true to the original trilogy. (It didn't turn out like a completely different game, such as when Castlevania, Megaman, and Sonic the Hedgehog made the jump from 2D to 3D.) Having actually played Die Hard Arcade, as well as its sequel, Dynamite Cop, those games do show what Sega would have, could have, and should have done had they gone through with Streets of Rage 4. I have also read that Fighting Force was supposed to be the fourth game of that series, too. Also, Sega had done a game called Spikeout which I believe was only released in Japan, and then later remade and released for the original Xbox. Here are couple of videos below of both versions.

Personally, Die Hard Arcade was a fun game and I would say that it was a worthy spiritual successor to Streets of Rage. One thing that you should know is that at its time, I think it was one of the innovators of quick-time events as there were some in this game. The same could be said about Dynamite Cop. One thing that you must know about these games is that they are rather short, so a single playthrough really won't take long to beat.

Despite all their rage they are still just streets in a cage.
