To paraphrase a line from Trent Lane in the “Athletes Who Stopped Trying And Gave Up” thread, who are some athletes that, unlike a certain QB he mentioned, lacked physical talent, but had a lot of other things to make up for it?

Pretty much any player the Mets ever glorified besides Piazza, Seaver, Gooden, Strawberry, and the first half David Wright's career. I remember the prospect guys saying that Wright was going to be similar to Travis Fryman lol. |
