31st July 2008.. 3 days after Mike Adamle is named GM of RAW. It must have been what finally broke me out of being a lurker and joining the madness.

On Smackdown, Cena becoming #1 Contender for JBL's WWE title and fighting his way through 'The Cabinet'.

October 2012, CM Punk was deep in his WWE title run and was getting ready to face Ryback at the HIAC PPV.

No idea of the date, or even which storyline it was, but it was when Paul Heyman was forming a group and the commentators were going on, and on, and on, and on about drinking the kool aid. I had no idea what the hell this meant so a few searches later, I wound up here and have been a lurker and occasional poster since then.

January 29, 2011- this was the night before the Royal Rumble:
Miz was champ, historic 60-man Rumble, Edge vs. Dolph/Vickie (the whole illegal spear thing), CM Punk's New Nexus, Del Rio was actually a decent heel

I joined the night I attended a Beat The Clock Challenge Raw in December 2005 building up to the Elimination Chamber which Edge cashed in on.

My friend and I lurked here for a while because he would constantly tell me how nuts most of you are. ("And you didn't disappoint!")
Something must have driven me to finally respond, because I don't usually join boards. According to WWE's own website, Edge retired that Monday. CM Punk was the leader of The New Nexus, John Morrison was still employed, Jack Swagger lost to Jerry Lawler...and then there was "The APPLE".
Those were some confusing times.

I was a lurker for nearly a decade no joke...finally decided to register after the other forum I was live reacting on (RIP Spoony Forums) was not worth the politics anymore. If I were to put a year on it, I'd say somewhere around '05-'06, but since my registration says 2015...I guess you can say this pretty much sums up what was going in the WWE (both with this storyline...and Roman Reigns as a whole): Jesus, you miss the Spoony forums? I thought they were hideously toxic by the time I left (during Spoony's very public breakdown).

Jesus, you miss the Spoony forums? I thought they were hideously toxic by the time I left (during Spoony's very public breakdown). Bear in mind that the Pro Wrestling section was practically it's own continent compared to the rest of the craptastic sections of the forum. Outside of maybe 1-2 times some Wrestle!Wrestle! fans would show up to berate people, the rest of us (including BobDoyle aka RoH's own Cheeseburger!) were pretty chill and practically ignored the existence of Spoony himself at the same time.

I had a different account a long time ago (password wouldn’t recover) and that was around when Matt Hardy returned to Raw and attacked Edge. Might have had the account for Wrestlecrap before then, but I’m not too sure.

(Or Wrestlecrap, if you've been here that long.) Seeing the Sin Cara Photoshop thread turn six years old recently made me realize that I've been a member of this board for eight years now. August 13, 2010. I tried to remember what was happening in WWE at that time and came to find out that it was only two days later that The Nexus would lose their big 7-on-7 match to Team WWE at Summerslam after John Cena no-sold a DDT onto f***ing concrete. Also, it was the night that Daniel Bryan was brought back to the company, which was awesome, and we were currently waist-deep in the Guest Host Era, which was the exact opposite of awesome. What was WWE doing in the time period that you officially joined this site? Apparently I joined the day before you, so all this same stuff for me.

I think it was around the same time the Nexus storyline was at its peak, so summer of 2010. I posted a few times and then for some reason I was like, "K, online discussion forums aren't for me." I came back a few years later, obviously.
My absence then was probably for the best, as I generally regard my 18-year-old self as a walking embarrassment.
Then again, I still am.

Date Registered: May 9, 2008 at 2:23amMajor feuds at this time were Triple H vs. Randy Orton for the WWE title (shocker), Undertaker vs. Edge for the WHC, and Batista, Shawn Michaels, and Chris Jericho dealing with the retirement of Ric Flair that would turn out to be quite the saga. I joined May 22, 2008, so I'm just going to assume it was the same two weeks later for me. Weird, because I really only remember the Michaels/Jericho stuff out of what you mentioned.

I was a lurker/very infrequent poster right around the time when Chris Benoit killed his family. While not a storyline it was what was being talked about.

I have no real recollection of the Hunter/Orton feud, as it’s not the same one as the IED feud that main evented Mania 25. The Taker vs Edge feud I remember because it main evented Mania 24 and extended all the way to Summerslam in a Hell in a Cell match.

I joined the pre-proboards site right near the end and then dragged my heels on joining here/lurked until Dec 2005.
I looked up what was happening at the time and in my opinion the main story at the time was...whether or not it was Gene Snitsky's fault.
Which seems pretty fitting for the Wrestlecrap boards.
