Hmm. Well from what I remember 1st movie somewhat hinted it but didn't confirm it 2nd movie did confirm but I don't remember it at all 3rd movie had nothing to do with that story at all. Was basically a side story with a wedding getting infected 4th movie brought the original girl back. Infection breaks out on a boat. She got rescued and transferred the "seed" to someone else
I just bought em all for dirt cheap so I'll watch em when I get the chance Yea, they are pretty easy watches
Be forewarned that the 3rd and 4th movies go "full resident evil" no suspense just jumpscares. No more cam view in the 4th movie either, shot like a regular movie

I read the reviews, Shame that. Calling it [REC] and having it be a normal kinda defeats the point

Decent popcorn movie and you’ll be entertained but it’s not like the 1st Too bad Quarantine never took off over here since it was essentially a shot for shot remake. Didn’t think Quarantine was all that bad but it got no value and the sequel was straight to DVD

My radio professor in college was the sound guy on Dawn & Day of the Dead. He's also the biker in the sombrero in Dawn.
He was also interviewed by Anthony Bourdain on his Pittsburgh episode of Parts Unknown.
Guy was really cool and has a cool life.

I really like most of the Resident Evil films....probably because I never played the games, but my favorite zombie film is Night of the Living Dead "Wrestlers vs Zombies" is fun. Mind-numbingly stupid, yes, but fun non the less. I now need to see this

This is going to sound odd to some of you, but I actually did not mind, if actually enjoyed the Dead Rising movies. Yes, a couple of movies were made. Although I actually liked Watchtower better than Endgame.

Haven't seen as many movies as many of you have, but here's my picks...
The original "Night of the Living Dead". Did see the 90's remake and wasn't a real fan... the make-up was great but to me the movie was more about the gore and not the fear.
The original "Dawn of the Dead". Haven't seen the remake.
"Day of the Dead".
"Zombi".
"Dead and Buried".
And under the 'sort-of-zombie' movies, "Messiah of Evil" and the first two of the Blind Dead movies, "Tombs of the Blind Dead" and "Return of the Blind Dead".

I like the ones of Romeros I’ve seen, so far the first three. I really liked Day of the Dead the most. I just saw it for the first time tonight.
Warm Bodies was good.
The first Resident Evil was good fun. I only saw the two after and they got progressively worse. I’m not sure I want to see the others.
28 Days Later was good.
I did not like Zombieland.
[EDIT]not movies and I know a lot fans of the genre like to shit on it but the first four seasons of the Walking Dead were really good, and Fear the Walking Dead is good too.

Most of my favorites have already been named, so I’m just going to say I thought the Dawn Of The Dead remake was excellent.
Dead Girl and Contracted were also recent and excellent (if really, really gross) takes on the zombie film concept.

World War Z is a good movie. Given the mess it could have been with it's catastrophic production, it's far better than it had any right to be.

Zombie Strippers Zombeavers So, do these ones fit in the "Best" or "Worst" category?

I watched Land of the Dead last night and really enjoyed it. The overall vibe was too post-millennium though. Then I watched the 2008 remake of Day of the Dead and it was pretty terrible.

Can't remember the name of this one...
Australian movie about a zombie movie that is being made, turns out, where there are real zombies. Out in the middle of nowhere. The real zombies blend in with the cast and crew.
It's bad... so bad that my Man Friend still gives me hell about making him watch it a couple years ago.

Does Zombieland still hold up? I remember loving that movie. Haven't seen it in years though.

Love me a good zombie movie and some of them are very good to watch (some not so much.)
Top 10 would look something like this:
1.Return of the Living Dead 2.Dead Alive/Braindead 3.White Zombie 4.Shaun of the Dead 5.Creepshow 6.Night of the Living Dead 7.Planet Terror 8.Re-animator 9.28 Days Later 10.Dead Snow
Special mention for Zombeavers which was actually good, I was surprised.
I'd include the Evil Dead films but I don't count Deadites as Zombies.

I watched the 2008 remake of Day of the Dead and it was pretty terrible. I think you're being overly generous by saying the film was only "pretty terrible."
