Dean's too old now unless we're doin Kingdom Come---which I'd be down for. He'd have to hit the gym pretty hard though. Gotten a lil doughy with age...as we all do. Appreciate he's aged but I really liked his take as Clark and Superman. Can't blame Superman for enjoying big meals!

He's been cool on Supergirl also.

On Supergirl, I want Lena Luthor to get menacing, brotherly'advice' bout not trusting aliens via phone call from Lex from prison. The voice on the phone is Rosenbaum's; just enough VO cameo to make Smallville fans mark out.

If Cavill is done, just get the Supes from the Arroverse.

Traditionally actors who jump from TV right into leading movie roles either do so with smaller productions to build up experience and name value, or end up as the leads in movies that bomb.

There's very few DCTVU actors/actresses that I'd say wouldn't be able to hold their own on the big screen to be honest. If anything, the writers are the ones that would cause the biggest problems if they tried to use the same staff plaguing the shows. Give them smart writing, and they can pull off some serious acting moments (Stephen Amell and Paul Blackthorne can absolutely command a room when they're sharing a scene alone).

No Superman and No Batman
So are they just making solo movies now and hope they stick because Aquaman does look good and they are still living off the success of Wonder Woman

What Mamoa said via huff post
“If they’re both out, then listen: It’s just the place they’re at in their careers. I mean, how many has Henry done? He’s done three?” Momoa said. “Yeah, I mean, like, you want to move on. I think if I did... shit, I have done three.”
“I mean, Henry wants to just expand on something,” he said. “Ben is an amazing director that is of age, and probably he’s done enough. I don’t know how to speak on behalf of them, but I had the time of my life [on ‘Justice League’].”

We got Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Flash so they can essentially tentatively build to flashpoint if they wanted to and then once you get a Superman and Batman then you can do the restart

One of the few times things work out. Remember, Momoa was the original choice for Drax, but I think he wanted too much. So we get Big Dave. Jason gets Aquaman, but I bet there's maybe a small part of him that thinks, "This is cool, but damn...Marvel got their shit together."

Who do they even cast as Superman now? Cavill was so visually perfect that anyone else will look like a downgrade. Zack Snyder really screwed Superman fans over. We had a good actor who looked the part and had passion for the character and the fanbase, and he only got to really play Superman for about 10 minutes at the end of his third outing. Imagine Marvel pulling that shit with Chris Evans.

It's finally Nic Cage's time to shine!
And I remember Brendan Fraser getting asked about it years ago, on Kimmel, I think.
Joe Manganiello had to drop out due to True Blood.
All those guys have no shot now. John Krasinski was considered for Cap. Maybe he'd work out if he wanted to do it.
Or you just gotta grab a relative unknown.

Now that he's out of his Marvel contract, how about Charlie Cox?
