No Superman and No Batman So are they just making solo movies now and hope they stick because Aquaman does look good and they are still living off the success of Wonder Woman That seems to be the plan going forward, with the exception of the Suicide Squad/Harley/Leto-Joker movies, which look like they'll be interconnected. Yea, they seem to be running hard on the Harley movies hoping she becomes a draw
Just still weird as f*** we about to have two Joker movies and the Phoenix people are coming around on but I believe he spoke on only being interested in just doing the origins

So they're going to try to imply Joaquin Joker is Leto Joker? Because WB... Just wait: in 5 years, all of DC will be centered around Batman and Harley.

What Mamoa said via huff post “If they’re both out, then listen: It’s just the place they’re at in their careers. I mean, how many has Henry done? He’s done three?” Momoa said. “Yeah, I mean, like, you want to move on. I think if I did... shit, I have done three.” “I mean, Henry wants to just expand on something,” he said. “Ben is an amazing director that is of age, and probably he’s done enough. I don’t know how to speak on behalf of them, but I had the time of my life [on ‘Justice League’].” Also Mamoa isn't crazy either he knows he can be the "new age" Aquaman people attach on to and he's been one of the few bright spots coming out of this BS We got Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Flash so they can essentially tentatively build to flashpoint if they wanted to and then once you get a Superman and Batman then you can do the restart
The Flash movie is apparently in trouble too... so...

Tho they could easily (and should have done in the first place) is keep giving these characters cameos in other movies until interest builds for their own
Who the hell is going to see a Cyborg movie

One of the few times things work out. Remember, Momoa was the original choice for Drax, but I think he wanted too much. So we get Big Dave. Jason gets Aquaman, but I bet there's maybe a small part of him that thinks, "This is cool, but damn...Marvel got their shit together." In fairness to Momoa, Drax was never really meant to be a big role
They were so impressed with Dave that they gave him extra lines in the movie and as we can see Batista has been one of the highlights of the GOTG and had some really funny lines in the Avengers

How about Oscar Isaac & Jon Hamm as your new Superman & Batman?
I'll just leave it up to WB as to who plays who

Who do they even cast as Superman now? Cavill was so visually perfect that anyone else will look like a downgrade. Zack Snyder really screwed Superman fans over. We had a good actor who looked the part and had passion for the character and the fanbase, and he only got to really play Superman for about 10 minutes at the end of his third outing. Imagine Marvel pulling that shit with Chris Evans. And the second movie was basically hijacked by Batman.

Batman's whole role in BvS could have really been handled by Lex. Same motivations for hating Supes, same scheme, even same fight if you put Lex in his warsuit. Could have streamlined everything. No need for Batman or Wonder Woman at all. No Doomsday, no death, none of that. Could still hint at Darkseid and such as something Lex learns about from the Kryptonian ship. Lex could be the one who has the footage of the other JLers which is another reason he's spooked by Superman--these beings are replacing humanity to his mind. He's the only one that sees it, and the only one that can stop it. Finding out about Darkseid coming just drives him more off the rails crazy. This alien in a red cape has brought all this to Earth's doorstep and people are cheering him for it! Lex has to do something! He'll be humanity's savior!
You don't need any of the rest. All of Bruce's motivations in BvS would fit just as well for Lex. Then you've got a concise, entertaining Superman movie that still has seeds for the larger world.

How about Oscar Isaac & Jon Hamm as your new Superman & Batman? I'll just leave it up to WB as to who plays who Hamm would be 50 by the time any movie with him came out, so he'd probably be left playing Old Batman. Isaac apparently hated every second of filming X-Men:Apocalypse, so it'll probably be quite some time before he signs on for another superhero picture.

I'll just leave it up to WB as to who plays who Yeah, Hamms too old now but I think would of made an exceptional Batman back in the day. And I love my fellow Guatemalan, but Oscar as either?? Nah. Don’t see it. Gyllenhaal was a nice choice a little back back being rumored for Reeves “The Batman” but he shot it down. There’s a few guys out there still I could see stepping in for Batman, especially if Reeves is trying something new with his film. As for Supes?..they’re probably alright just ignoring the boyscout for a while. Methinks it’s gonna take a bold idea/direction from somebody to even get the wheels turning on that again.

Now that he's out of his Marvel contract, how about Charlie Cox? I've heard no word about him or any of the other Netflix stars being no longer signed to Marvel, and considering how over Daredevil was, I'd be quite surprised if they did let him go that easily.

Much like the movie actors are under contract to appear in a certain number of movies, the TV actors are under contract for a certain number of seasons with a clause that they must make themselves available to appear in movies if called upon. Also, the actors are contracted to Marvel Entertainment; only the production staff were contracted to ABC and Netflix, so only their contracts ended with the cancellation of the shows. So yeah, at the very least the lead actors and probably the main supporting actors of the shows are still tied to Marvel until either their contract has been worked through or Marvel choose to release them from their obligations.

I say just let Cavill do the Witcher stuff for a while until a story for Superman is figured out. Photos have shown Ben Affleck getting in shape for Batman again. Focus on Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and the Green Lantern. Then slowly bring Superman back into the picture, have a returning Batman, and eventually go from there with another Justice League film.

I mean who would've ever thought that Aquaman and Wonder Woman would be the ones to essentially be the faces of the DCEU? At this point I'll be perfectly honest I am not even sure what they can do with Superman and Batman in the DCEU. Man of Steel was a good start, then immediately jumping into the Justice League was the nail in the coffin for the universe. Much like many posters on here said they wanted the results and didn't want to do the work. It's sad really. The DCEU legitimately could've been bigger and better than Marvel in hindsight.

I don't think Affleck is getting in shape to play Batman any time soon. "The Batman" was reportedly using a younger version of the character.
Since starting at Dark Knight Returns was always stupid.
Also I wouldn't call anything about MoS a good anything.

Also I wouldn't call anything about MoS a good anything. I enjoyed Man of Steel for what it was. It was a decent start to the universe and could've been built upon in a better fashion with a director who had a greater understanding of Superman. Superman killing Zod could've pushed him to become a symbol of hope and to never take another life again. At least if it went in that direction it would've made sense as to why he was against Batman's brutal methods in BvS. But again they wanted the results without doing any of the hard work. If anything Man of Steel needed a sequel to flesh out the character, build him up as the symbol of hope, Aquaman or Wonder Woman could've came after, Batman introduced in a Worlds Finest fashion, and then they could've did the Justice League.
