Anyone even still watching this? Seems like all talk about it's completely died.

That one episode with the Mars mission kinda has me checked out. Just didn't get it I can get that. It was an okay ep to me. Basically a cabin fever "people have to stick together in rough times" type story with a typical Twilight Zone reveal. The role reversal of "Instead of people worrying about us, we worry about them" to add human drama was fine if not a little heavy handed. Maybe a small moral of "suspicious doesn't always mean malicious" with the crew member taking notes about everything. The show has already been renewed for Season 2, so maybe they'll shake off whatever is weighing them down.

Fell behind on the schedule but watched the NOT ALL MEN episode today. Perhaps the 2nd best of this format (Rewind is top tier to me) with a good use of the full run time (didn't feel super stretched out like a few of these).
Admittedly, the plot feels as if it was "what if something happened and men turned into Youtube comment sections?" but delivers some decent tension and awkwardness before giving kind of a third act tour of flip-out nonsense.

Has every episode been about pushing sociopolitical agendas? Was the original like this? I've only seen a handful of them. Working on that though.

Has every episode been about pushing sociopolitical agendas? Was the original like this? Not really 100% of the time, a lot of the time it was teaching more general behavior or more directly religious lessons (and there were a good few episodes that basically didn't even bother actually having a moral), but yeah, the original show had no qualms at all about going political.

The original was super political.
Not all of them but a decent number of them were.

I'm only up to episode 3 .... it's not good. Episode 1 had a decent idea but was too long and dragged it out too much so it got boring. Episode 2 was pretty good but the ending was awful, should have just ended with the crazy pilot crashing the plane, episode 3 was about as subtle as a brick through the window--the mom was great though, very likeable and sympathetic and the cop was nice and creepy.
So far, it's all just, eh. I'll give 4 a try but then I might tap out.

The original was super political. Not all of them but a decent number of them were. And they weren't overpreachy. A lot of them had subtlety and a clever sense of irony. This version...sorry.

I just read a few synopses on Wikipedia - oddly, after episode 5 or so no one bothered to update future episodes with fuller details. I flat out laughed at the description of John Cho episode.
I must say, I'm curious o hear about the episode that I guess airs tonight (season finale?) which sounds fun.

I’ve been watching them over the past couple of days and christ they are about as subtle as several kicks to the nuts
I mean yeah the original had a few episodes that were allgories but they had subtlety normally and then the twist at the end made you go ah. This version just rams it down your throat and shouts DO YOU GET IT!
It’s trying to be black mirror instead of being twilight zone if you ask me
Oh course, if I had known ahead of time that Kinberg was involved I might just not have bothered and watched the original. I’ve only ever seen the first series plus a few other episodes here and there so that would have been more enjoyable

How every many are left since I last posted are sitting on my PVR. I’m sure I’ll get to them but I’m in no rush.
It’s really not very good.

Watched the last 2 and they were.....well half decent which normally would be damning praise but for this season it’s genuine praise
