Episode 7 is up. Remember the next episode is not out for a week and a half ... dammit Christmas. More like dammit Rise of Skywalker.

I don't know how necessary it was too see as much of the droid being rebuilt as we did. I was worried during that scene that nothing was really going to happen in this episode, but overall great episode and I fine setup for the finale.

Siiiigh... First and foremost this episode made me really appreciate the work of Carl Weathers, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte. Their age and talents really wonderfully bring weight and gravity to the show. Some funny lines “It’s trying to eat me!” And “..your wall?” But that end .. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} f***ing gutted me. Kind of what I expected out of the penultimate episide but damn did Kuiill’s death gut me. I expected IG-11 to make the save and instead..I’m left just f***ing bummed. God damn did I love this show’s first season. Eagerly awaiting the final episide in a bittersweet way.

I felt it was pretty obvious that droid is coming back as a full blooded death machine. He flat out said it was programmed to defend still. It's got stuff to defend now.

{Spoiler}I'm more bummed about the Client's death than Kuiil's, to be honest. Granted, Herzog is a busy man, so he was never going to be sticking around as a regular character, but as a character that pops up once or twice a season pulling strings behind the scenes? He'd have been great. I felt it was pretty obvious that droid is coming back as a full blooded death machine. He flat out said it was programmed to defend still. It's got stuff to defend now. They've leaned so hard into Mando's distrust and hatred of droids that him learning to trust and ultimately befriend a droid seems almost too obvious a road to take, but that seems like the logical conclusion at this point.

The Mandalorian: Episode 7 is here. Me: YEAH! The Mandalorian: It's called the Reckoning. Me: OH GOD NO, I FORGOT IT'S STAR WARS AND BAD THINGS HAPPEN EXTREMELY FREQUENTLY! WHY DID I INVEST EMOTIONS INTO THIS. I'M GOING TO GET HURT.

Movie, television, book, video game, this has to be one of the best Star Wars things ever. And hey, if the movies start to become unprofitable, Disney/LF at least has potential with tv shows to keep tapping into.

There’s this girl round my age who works at my local grocery store, and we playfully give each other shit cause she liked the prequels and I like(d) the ST, but last night we brought up Mandalorian and both our eyes shot up in joy, so f*** Yes to this show.
I’m also looking forward to the Obi-Wan series.

It's weird that every review/reaction to Episode 7 has left out that Baby Yoda straight-up Force-choked Cara Dune. The little guy went DARK with that one!

Probably because he thought she was trying to hurt Mando, and was only trying to protect him. It’s still a force-power we’ve only seen used by dark side users, IIRC. It’s connotation is very “dark-side” and it was a lil surprising to see the child go thst route even if ain’t-nobody-gonna-hurt-my-papa-Mando. I guess the age plays into that.

Carl Weathers deserves an Emmy for yelling "He's gonna eat me!" when Baby Yoda approached him after his arm got mangled.
